I Don't Own Yu Gi Oh!

Summary: What if a child was taken in by the royal family and breaks a law? Would this child finally bring happiness or would this child bring out the sins of mankind?

Chapter 1

Legends say that somewhere along the Mediterranean Sea was a country. This country was the most beautiful piece of land on earth. The lush green grass, the tall red wood trees, and most of all the beautiful forget-me-not fields would make any stranger feel safe and warm. But looks can be deceiving for this land was plagued by a decree. A decree that Satan himself wouldn't have set. A decree set by the royal family to forbid a human being to love another. It was not possible thought the people but it was. For the king had ordered that and the king will see to it. Those that were caught in courtship were publicly killed. As more people died the villagers learned. Slowly they stopped loving people. And sex was just so the family heirloom would carry on. Since the void cannot be filled by love for people, the villagers loved other things. From animals to inanimate objects and none had it as bad as the royal family.

King Seth was a depressing man. His childhood deprived him of any love possible to a child. He was trained to be a successful king. Due to his childhood a black cloud of emptiness stayed in his soul and he detested love with a passion. He was forced to marry and produce children. Not only did he not love his wife and children he did not want them to be loved either. So as revenge he took away love.

Seth's wife, Kisara, had the beauty of Aphrodite. She was a goddess to eyes of anyone. But behind the goddess like face was a cold heart for she did not have happiness. She knew the risks of showing love to a person thus she hid it by showing affection to plants. It begins as a hobby but soon she was so engrossed in it that she had gone mad.

Kisara had two beautiful children. Atemu and Anzu. Though they are siblings by name they are not by blood. For Atemu was not Seth's child. No one knew who he was but no one knew who he wasn't either. Atemu too was trained to be a king and he too feels no emotions to human beings or so the people thought. Anzu on the other hand was a special child. She was born without the ability to recognize faces. To her faces were just blobs of color. This made Anzu very distant. It was an advantage because Anzu by nature was very affectionate. As soon as she was taught to sew Anzu made stuffed animals. She hugged and kissed them everyday and made friends with them.

But soon the family's lives would change forever.

It was cold that winter. And the storms from the Mediterranean blew hard. Under the eerie glow of the moon a child lays unconscious on the snowy ground. His white hair mirrored those of the snow. He was beautiful.

On the field not far by the castle Anzu hummed quietly as she walked through the snow. In her arms was a bunny stuffed toy. It was dirty and patched but she held it like it was her life. Anzu's short brown hair swung lightly as she hopped nearer and nearer to the castle. But her hop was interrupted when she tripped.

"What's this?" Anzu said in the faintest whisper.

She looked down and beneath her feet was a blob of white and beige. Anzu touched the white blob. It was smooth like rabbit hair. The warmth of her fingers made the boy stir.

"Look Cookie, it's a person. Let's tell mother," Anzu said to the bunny. Her words were hardly audible.

Without hesitation she hopped off.
