This is my 3rd DW fic, but the only one to be posted because I'm so lazy and haven't finished typing the others. It's also really short. And really random. But I was bored in my maths exam yesterday and this is what came out.
Timeline: Set during 'School Reunion', Rose is eating chips and having a rather thoughtful moment. Told you it was random.
Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who nor any of the storylines.
She felt sick.
Sick to her stomach, and the overly greasy chips she was munching on didn't help the matter.
She was just watching, mesmerised at the interaction between the pair. Watching them laugh, smile, reminisce about the good times they had had before she came along.
Since when did her love life get so complicated? One minute she was an average girl, who had a steady relationship with her boyfriend, and the next, she'd fallen head over heels for someone she couldn't ever have who was currently flirting right in front of her with a woman he used to travel with.
'Fantastic.' she thought bitterly, shoving another chip in her mouth before turning her gaze back towards her boyfriend. If you could still even call him that. Ever since she'd been travelling with the handsome man, she'd been pushing her boyfriend away; whether consciously or not, no one knew, but she still felt the terrible pain of guilt.
Only when she heard her name called did she pull herself out of her thoughts. She looked up to find her boyfriend staring right at her.
"You okay?" He asked, gently putting his hand over hers.
She doesn't know why she moved her hand away so abruptly or why she muttered an incoherent answer to her boyfriend before glancing over to the man that had captured her heart. All she does know is that the love she once felt for her boyfriend has gone as cold as the soggy chips on her plate.
Yup. Short. Random. I did warn you.
