Shay was not happy. Nope, she was more like devastated. Right now, she was supposed to be at her girlfriends apartment cuddling and watching cheesy 90s movies. Instead, she was waiting on the sidelines to do her last minute scenes while her girlfriend was alone in her trailer with her ex. It wasn't a secret that Lucy was not entirely over Troian but Troian just could not see the obvious advances of a jealous ex. It was seriously starting to get to Shay.
Out of the corner of her eye, Shay saw her friend Ashley pulling up in the pink golf cart. Shay felt herself get even angrier now that she had someone to vent to. Ashley looked so uncomfortable in the Hanna clothes. She pulled at her cute button down shirt every chance she got.
"You want to switch outfits." Ashley said exasperated. Shay just gave her friend a half smile.
"No but ill switch my girlfriend for Tyler."
"Uhh oh. What did Troi Troi do? I thought she was peeerfect." Ashley playfully and painfully impersonated Shay from a couple of hours.
"She is….I mean she was. I just don't get how you can be so smart and so gullible at the same time."
"So this is about Lucy again." Ashley said knowingly. Ashley had been there for the disaster of a couple that were Troian and Lucy and now she was being forced to tolerate the sickeningly sweet Troian and Shay. Ashley could tell Shay was overly emotional about the whole situation. Lucy was not over Troian but Troian was totally and completely committed to Shay.
"Yeah, can you believe she invited Avey to wait for me in her trailer? How desperate can she get? Can she not take a hint! She knows Troian is with me now. She just can't stand to see anyone else happy. It's sad really. Troian so doesn't want her. Avey is my girlfriend. She needs to just get used to it because we are going to be together for a VERY long time!" Shay vented in what seemed like one breath.
Ashley had learned to just ignore Shay's little rants. She wasn't like Troian. She couldn't find everything the girl did cute, but she loved her friend so she tried to calm Shay down.
"I thought Troian said she didn't like it when you called her by her middle name?"
"She doesn't. We compromised and now she lets me call her Avey instead of Avery. Not as cute, but it makes her wrinkle her nose and that's sooo cute." Shay explained with a smile, momentarily forgetting her disdain towards Lucy.
"Avey not Avery, I get it. That's a big difference." Ashley said with sarcasm dripping from her voice.
"Shut up." Shay hip checked Ashley and both girls smiled at their silliness.
"But seriously Shannon. Troian is probably in there talking Lucy's head off saying how beautiful you are. She does that a lot and like you said she is still her a midnight just to see you before you go home. She loves YOU Shay. Trust that and stop being so paranoid." Ashley reasoned with her bestie as best she could. Shay was a pretty rational person. Ashley could hear the wheels turning in Shay's head as she processed the words. Then finally, with a sigh, Shay smiled.
"Yeah I…" Shay started but was cut off by her girlfriend sneakily wrapping her long arms around Shay's waist. Ashley just walked off knowing she was not needed. Shay instinctively melted into Troian's embrace. "I thought you were with Lucy."
"I was." Troian said in her trademark husky voice. "But I missed you. Lucy's cool but I just needed to be around you. I love you." Troian said with a soft kiss into Shay's hair.
"I love you too."
"Besides, I wouldn't want you to go crazy and talk Ashley into a coma."
"Wha…What do you mean?"
"Oh nothing love. Just know that I love you."
