Eulogy
Hymn of the Dark
Whispering words to the darkness
Carried adrift the dark rifts to a wondering unknown
Tears fall like rain down a moonlit window pane
The beating of my heart is silent
The rhythm of it lost, the music of it spent
The life it coursed through me but a small expense
The mind behind these marble eyes
Unstable and chaotic thoughts filled with denial
Turmoil of night and day fill tears that fall
Words carried towards a night that chills
Eyes closed viewing a world with no sky for falling stars
Graveside prayers slip past clenched lips
Living death is no relief
Denial of the mind
Reality bent by truths turned to lies
Whispered words drifting in the darkness
Moving swiftly by the blindly pondering unknown
Tears still fall, forever red diamonds streaking a crystal face
