Hermione stood on the patio of her hotel room, for the first time in months no-one was around. She looked out into the dark Paris night and looked hopefully for an owl sending her news from her fiancée, Harry. God how she missed him. But with her career as an author, she had to travel all around Europe, Northern America and Australia to release her new romance fiction 'Love Lasts a Life Time'.
Another summer day
Is come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm
Don't get her wrong, she was not alone, but her publisher was an 58 year old divorcee, and not exactly her best friend. Besides him there were always the fans and paparazzi, not that she didn't like being appreciated by her fans, she loved it, but sometimes she just wished she could be with the man she loves in their newly furnished home.
Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh I miss you, you know
As she gazed out into the dark abyss, she thought to herself, even if she does get a letter from him, she knows she will not reply, for every time she tries to write him a letter it never seems enough.
And I've been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
"I'm fine baby, how are you?"
Well I would send them but I know that it's just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that
She continued with her tour, going to all different places such as Moscow and Vienna, but still she could not truly be happy, all she thought about was Harry.
Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I'm lucky I know
But I wanna go home
Mmmm, I've got to go home
Missing him more each day, every night she would lay awake and quietly pray to god to somehow make her be with him, to kiss him passionately once more and to wake in his arms.
Let me go home
I'm just too far from where you are
I wanna come home
She had always wanted to be an Author, now that she was one she wasn't so sure it was for her. She felt ruinously famous and no longer herself. And with Harry taking his Auror training he could not tour with her.
And I feel just like I'm living someone else's life
It's like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
But this was not your dream
But you always believe in me
She continued her travels this time to Melbourne Australia. She saw fans everywhere when she went to Federation Square to do a book signing, but two people in particular caught her attention. A young couple were sitting at a bench in each others arms, they were not talking, nor kissing they were just content to sit there together. Hermione felt a sudden twang in her heart, she needed him badly.
Another winter day has come
And gone away
And even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home
She sat at a table at the Crown Casino watching more and more young couples, sit down and enjoy a nice dinner, whilst sharing a kiss every now and then. She could no longer handle it. She quickly paid for her unfinished meal and ran out of the restaurant.
And I'm surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel alone
Oh, let go home
Oh, I miss you, you know
Even if it would most likely decrease the sales of her book, she had to go home. She ran up to her hotel room, grabbed her coat and luggage and decided to leave a note saying she had gone home due to home sickness and apparated to the front garden of her and Harry's house. She saw a light inside and knocked on the door, Harry opened it and the second he saw who it was she had thrown herself into him arms and kissed him passionately.
Let me go home
I've had my run
Baby, I'm done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all right
I'll be home tonight
I'm coming back home
