Christmas Eve
It's Christmas Eve at the Spencer home; the house is decorated in very festive and homemade Christmas ordainments. There was one very important tradition that was missing, a tree. The youngest Spencer was all ready for bed and staring out the window.
"Abby? What are you looking at; I told you Santa won't come if you aren't in bed sleeping" The mother says as she walks over to her young daughter.
"But...But we don't have a twee, how is Santa 'posed to get presents here, if we don't gots a twee" The little girl asks looking up at her mother.
"Well don't worry, 'cause mommy's present is going to take care of everything, don't you worry" Rose says smiling down at her daughter and lifting her into her arms.
"What did you ask Santa for Abby"? The mother asks her young daughter.
"For daddy to come home" She says yawning.
"Well I'm sure Santa will do his best to get him here, but he'll never get him here unless you go to bed" Rose says as she carries her daughter into her light purple bedroom.
"Good-night Abby, sweet dreams, I love you" Her mother says as she tucks her in and shuts off the light.
Rose walks back into the living room, opens her laptop and begins working on her next novel.
1 hour later
Rose hears the sound of a car pulling into the driveway before she even sees the headlights of the car. She looks out the window as a precaution even though she already knew who it is. She opens the door and stands in the doorway, waiting for her husband to walk up the steps. When he reaches her no words are exchanged, just a single sweet kiss as the clock struck 12.
"Merry Christmas Eliot" Rose says smirking at her loving husband.
"Merry Christmas Rose" Eliot says embracing her.
"Did you get it" she asks laying her head down on his chest.
"Of course I did, just let me go and get it, leave the door open" he replies to her softly as he kisses the top of her head.
They spend the rest of the night setting it up and making it look perfect. Eliot then left the room and went to grab the presents form the attic. They didn't go to sleep till almost 6:00am. At 8:00 the door of their bedroom banged open as the little girl comes running in. She screams "WE GOTS A TWEE" as she jumps onto the bed. She realizes then that her Christmas wish has come true, "Daddy you home" say says as she hugs him close. Miracles really do happen on Christmas.
