A/N First off this sounded way better in my head. Secondly, it really needs to be in first person for Joanna's POV but I tried and failed.
Disclaimer: Well if I did own this, which I don't, but if I did Jonny D would have more nude scenes in this movie
Summery: The ghost of Sweeny may like to know his daughter remembers him.
Being locked in that room alone wasn't to much different then being with the judge, this was not a good start for the relationship she hoped she could have with Anthony. She heard footsteps outside coming up the stairs. She looked around and found a plain box. She jumped into it quickly as someone walked in. Terrified that it was the Judge or even worst Beadle she closed her eyes and imagined her self in a happier time. It was many years ago, she herself could barely remember but this was the one happy memory she had.
Her, her mother and her father were out for a walk in the park. She was only a tot still in a stroller. Her dad brought her a doll and handed it to her. She giggled and looked up at him. She remembered his eyes the most. They were hazel and identical to her own. She adored her father even at that age. The last thing she remembered was her daddy being carried away as she cried in her mothers arms.
Now this was a nightmare she had many years after until one day when she was thirteen a dressmaker came. Usually Beadle sat in on these but the dressmaker insisted that she was a young lady now and should not be undressed in front of a man. The dressmaker told of her neighbor, Lucy, and how she poisoned herself after her husband was taken away and her daughter was kidnapped. Suddenly the dreams made sense.
All her life she wanted to escape and find her daddy. What little information she found his name was Benjamin Barker. Secretly she had locket, the left side having a picture of her mother and her when she was a baby and the other of her dad.
Sitting in the box she thought of her father, she heard a woman walk around calling out for the Beadle. She recognized this voice as the crazy homeless woman the asked for money across from her window. She heard the woman mutter about a devil women then said "Don't I know you?" This is the last thing she heard from the woman. Suddenly her dear "uncle" JudgeTurpin comes in. She hears him ask a man "where is she?" She assumes the judge is looking for her, and she cowers closer to the corner in a attempted to protect herself. The two men talk then she hears the second scream "Benjamin Barker!" Her heart skips a beat as she peaks and sees her father killing another man. He looks over at her hiding spot and pulls her out of her box.
Now she's has never been the brightest of all girls but she was smart enough to know that he didn't recognize his own daughter. She cowered as he brought the razor to her throat. A woman below screams and he looks at her "forget my face" he says as he hurries off.
She will never forget that face, the face of the man who has been her guardian angel all these years, the man who she thought of when she was upset and scared, it was no longer the face that gave her that doll all those years ago, but now it was the face of a man that has lost everything. He no longer has a purpose to live.
The man, her father, left. As she got up, she saw a crib on the other side of the room. She looked in and saw a doll, the doll, her doll. She quickly put it in a pocket of her pants as Anthony came in, "Joanna?" he said softly. She looked up and saw his gentle eyes. He pulled her into a tight embrace and motioned for her to follow. She followed him out the door and off to there new lives. She thought of her father, in spite off all she has seen of him in the sixteen years she lived, she still loved him dearly. Even though he said, forget she would always remember. She only hoped he could fine peace.
