In honor of The Day of Silence. 4/25/08 Stand and be counted.
This is from a male point of view.
Coming Out
My heart pounds out a rhythm,
my feet can't avoid.
The darkness takes my emotions,
it cast them into the noise.
A phony smile hides the things,
that the bandages won't.
How many times have I been told,
Somethings you do, some you don't.
A nervous grin, and shaking hands.
A dash of hope, some careful plans.
Now...To tell the world,
...I love a man.
This is just a brief poem to honor homosexuals and their courage. I enjoy writing poetry from prompts so please. Feel free to suggest one. Flames welcome, I guess? Rate/Review
