Cupid's Arrow
Pairing: Stella/Noctis
Author Note: Semi inspired by Greek Mythology, and the question if there were various gods in the Versus World.

"Do you believe in cupid?" she questions innocently as she stares up at her lover causing the edges of her bright golden hair to touch against his naked chest.

"As in the baby that shoots magical arrows that causes people to fall in love?" he questions, staring at her as if she were out of her mind. "You are joking, right?"

She frowns lightly seeing her lover's point, "Well maybe not a baby shooting magical arrows that was probably something the Hallmark Company made up but we believe in the Goddess of Death, so there must be a Goddess of Love as well and legend fortells cupids are the Goddess of Love's children."

"But would we believe in Lady Etro if we couldn't see her light?" he questions running a hand through her bright golden locks.

"Possibly not," she agrees pressing a soft kiss against his bare chest before looking up at him again. "But it does not change the fact that she exists. We even met her. So surely the Goddess of Love exists as well including the other gods and goddesses we have heard about since we were children."

"Next thing I know you will be saying it's the goddesses will that made us fall in love," he replies smirking a bit.

She looks up at him returning his smirk. "Maybe it was."

"Oh, how do you figure?" he questions flipping her smaller but slightly muscular form over so she was beneath him, and his semi larger form was hovering above her.

"Why else would I fall in love with you at first sight," she teases lightly.

"Really?" he remarks doubting her statement. "You seem like you hated me during our second meeting."

"A façade," she remarks shrugging her bare shoulders, and softly remarking "Even though, I probably should have hated you it would have made it a lot easier to fight you."

He nods, "I understand how you feel."

And it was the honest truth, when he first met Stella on the battlefield so many months ago, he couldn't go through with killing her.

Although, he has to admit even with his conflicted feelings of fighting against her, she was a worthy adversary.

"And the remarks I said to you about hating you, I didn't mean them," he continues burying his face slightly in her perfume scented neck.

"I know," she replies running her fingers through his dark colored hair. "I wouldn't have stayed with you this long if I knew you hated me. I may love you, but I play the martyr."

"I wouldn't have expected you too either," he replies.

"But if it wasn't love at first sight for you, then at what point did you fall in love with me," she questions curiously.

"Well I wouldn't call it love at first sight, but I did feel a strong connection with you," he replies after a moment.

Stella smiles, "Through our common experiences…because we could see the light."

"You were the first person who I met who could see the light of Etro," he remarks. "You made me feel less alone."

She doesn't reply. She isn't entirely sure if cupids exist or if they were shot by cupid's arrows the moment they met a year ago.

But at the moment she doesn't care. She loves him, she will always love him.
