Kanda hated this accursed life. He was trapped in a prison. Death and torture was all around him. He was sick of this bleak life.

One day, when he was resting by the barbed-wire fence that surrounded the large prison, he met a girl in a white dress. She wore a white sun-hat that slightly covered her snow white hair. He could see that she had a long scar running down the left side of her face. He could see that even her left arm was black. It was love at first sight.

So sad…….

Feel so sad…..

He didn't want this girl to see him like this. He tried to turn away, but he couldn't. She didn't run away. She stayed.

Between you and dirty me, there is a gap.

One day, he wrote a letter. He gave it to a tiny black golem. The golems liked him. Instead of birds, there were the black golems with their bat wings. He told the golem to give it to the girl. The golem flew over the fence and rested in the girl's hands. It gave her the letter.

Go fly!

Go fly!

That was what he had whispered to the golem each time. At least they were able to escape. Even though he remained.

Kanda felt a sense of freedom as he gave the letters to the girl. She gave her letters with a golden golem. This golem had a cross on it and had more bird-like wings.

He didn't want the girl to leave. He looked forward to reading her letters and seeing her. Even though there was a barrier in between them. But he had never even heard her voice. He wanted to.

Come over and talk to me……

This will never convey my feelings…..

She was his small happiness. Kanda never smiled. But whenever she was around him, he did.

Kanda saved all of the letters. They were his single joy.

But one day, a month past their first meeting, she told him something in one of the letters. She had to leave. They would never see each other ever again. Once again, despair filled his life.

The suffering and the torture at the prison didn't have meaning anymore. He had never cried. Until now. Just the very thought of never seeing her again, made him cry. To Kanda, crying was weakness. But he didn't care right now.

I don't even know her name. He thought.

For the short time that he had known her, he felt like he actually had a future. That he would be able to escape this horrible place.

I can't call you.

I can't follow you.

I can't get out.

I never will.

But one day, a guard discovered the letters that the girl had given him. The other guard tried to hold back the ponytailed boy as he struggled to retrieve them. They began to rip them up. They laughed as they did so.

With incredible power, he broke free and attacked the guard that had stolen his letters. After hitting him a couple times, another guard restrained him by grabbing him from behind.

Finally, his turn came. He would be executed today.

He didn't have any regrets in this world. But there was still something in his heart shouting "why….."

He wanted to live a bit longer.

He just wanted to see her. Even in his last moment.

We both lived in two separate worlds.

Yet I tried to reach her.

Please god. He prayed. If this is my last chance, I want to talk to her. As he was lying on the ground, he noticed a piece of one of the letters. He quickly grabbed it.

In the small dark room, a voice could be heard. It sounded so sad.

At least let me know your name! He cried.

Death quickly came.

This is a pretty sad song. It's called Prisoner by Len Kagamine. Here's the original link:
