Here is... another Ingo fanfiction! Wow. We should throw fireworks. XD
I am quite busy with my other in-progress fanfictions (not to mention life), but I thought that this would be an interesting story to write, so I am going to do it. Just so ya'll know, it will be on the backburner for now... unless I get more reviews on it than for my other current fics, so it really is up to the public interest :D. That means you guys.
The name I chose for [the first] Mathew's father is Douglas [Trewhella], because I discovered that it means "from the dark water."
DISCLAIMER: "I will laugh, I'll be strong, I'll not take Ingo credit!"
Douglas's POV~
Water... so much water... The sea rushes into the ship and tears out or washes down... I will not leave; I will go down with this ship... My bones will sink to the bottom of the ocean...
At first, we all thought this would be nothing but a jolly storm. What a washout, I think bitterly, squinting through the driving rain, hearing the shipmates offer up both curses and prayers to the diluve. I am nearly shaken from the wheel as the ship rolls sideways, tossed over by a mutant wave. "Men overboard...!", comes the plainitive cry for the lost. Clenching my jaw, I look around me at the scene of chaos, struggling to stay on my feet. There may be a hope yet... Down below, Jon and some others are still pumping water furiously, but a feeling inside me gives, and somehow I know that even their efforts are not enough.
Only a miracle of the Lord could save us now.
Can we not try...
Suddenly, a monstrous dark wall of foam-flecked water rises up in front of us. Moryow is angry... What?... you will surrender your life... Everything happens as in slow motion.
The titanic wave crashes over the deck of the Sea Pearl. I feel her shiver during the instant before the wave reaches me, taking me within it's white, foamy grasp and pulling me into itself.
When at last I feel my tired body sink under the brine and water, I have no time for more than a passing thought of my shipmates and the family I left behind before the blackness of sleep overtakes me, and I sink into what I believe will be an eternal rest.
For an instant, I feel softness brush against my skin, and a siren song rings through my ears.
Please let me know what you think of these poor verses; of course it's just the prologue.
