"Please, Dad! Pretty please?" A browned teen saber beg in front of her father. Her bright pink eyes going all cute.
Diego sighed. His daughter, Shiki always wanted to go adventures ever since she first walk. "fine. You can go. Just don't go to far like last time" He watch his young daughter squealed.
"Thank you! I promise to be back by lunch!"
As Shiki walked away from the happily.
"But bring Aaron with you." Diego added.
Shiki groaned. "I can take care of myself, Dad."
"I know that but its safer to have your brother with you. Just in case." Diego said and he called Aaron.
Another young teen saber came out. He had orange fur just like Diego but Aaron had black stripes running along his back and had dark green eyes.
"Aaron, look after your sister."
"Sure." Aaron nodded.
"Hey, I'm a strong independent woman. I don't need Aaron." Shiki said.
"Sure you are." Chuckled Aaron, "I'm a strong independent guy. Now let's go." Aaron walked ahead of Shiki and Shiki glared at her Dad but then sighed and followed her brother.
Shira came out the cave and stood beside Diego. "You know, you're becoming like Manny now."
Diego looked at her, "what do you mean, I don't keep Shiki from talking to other guys."
"But you don't believe that Shiki is capable of taking care of herself."
"Well she's not ready to handle the big world, I'm trying to look out for her." Diego replied.
"I know, but she's growing older and sooner or later, she's gonna have to take care of herself. We won't always be there for her." Shira said, rubbing her head on Diego's neck.
"Come on, lets go back to sleep."
With Shiki and Aaron.
"So, where're going?" Aaron asked.
"I wanna go across the river." Shiki replied. Shiki likes her brother, but Aaron can be a little annoying and over protective just like Diego. But he his more marture than Shiki well as Shiki can get into mischief sometimes.
"Shiki, you know that Dad doesn't allow you to cross the river. That's outta bounds." Aaron said.
"I know, but I just wanna explore more. I won't go to far."
"Nope, we're not doing it." Aaron shook his head and stop right in front of Shiki.
"No one said that you had to follow me wherever I go." Shiki narrowed her eyes at her taller brother.
"Dad told me look out for you." Aaron said.
"Well, I can look out for myself. I'm a big girl now. I don't need anyone help." Shiki augured and she pushed pass Aaron and continued walking towards the big river.
"Shiki, come back." Aaron called out to her and trotted after her but Shiki started to run, wanting to get away from her brother.
"Just leave me alone!" Shiki yelled back at her brother and after a while. She lost him and she was glad. Now she can go to the river without anyone annoying her.
She arrived at the river. The river was very wide and has fast running water. A row of rocks were layed out in the river from one side to the other side. Shiki first wanted a little drink and leaned down but something caught her eye along the river bank.
A deer layed dead, half its body was in water. Its mouth was full of weird white stuff that was bubbly. The deer fur looked rotten and some of its skin was missing. A grown female saber stood over the deer. She was dark grey with dark blue eyes. Her two front legs were white with white underbelly. The mysterious saber was covered with blood all over herself. The saber looked at Shiki and her eyes widened and she said, "don't drink."
