I got this idea after reading really good stories. You should go check them out. They are called "Flashbacks Are A" by Project MJOLNIR and "Half Dead Dogs of War" by RedRipley3.
UPDATE:
HEY GUYS! It's been so long and I am SO SORRY. School has been a killer but it's my Senior year then I'm off to college so I'll have more time for you guys depending on my classes. But anyways, I decided to rewrite this story because I realized how "OUT OF CHARACTER" everyone seemed so I promise you will enjoy it more. Thank you all for the reviews (Even one could save a story) and enjoy!

Baird was rumbling through some boxes that they found in a stranded camp. As he was taking cloth out of one, he grabbed a blueprint and just stared at it. "What the fuck." As Baird looked at it, he put his hand on his head and moved it back and forth as if he was feeling his hair.
It had been a tough week for him. First off, Marcus made Delta Squad patrol all damn week which in Bairds' opinion was stupid since the activation of Adam Fenix's machine stopped all locust and lambent. Plus, what's left of the COG signed a peace treaty with the stranded. On top of that, they were on the most secure Island on Sera!
And even though it's just a blueprint, it reminded Baird of his past. "How did those assholes get this?".
There was a knock at the door which caused Baird to jump a little. 'Shit, what the hell do you want?' He got up and opened the door. Standing there was the glow of light brown skin, deep brown hair and a bandage on her cheek.
"Hello Sa-man-tha." Baird looked at her with an annoyed face and leaned against the door frame. "What do you want?"
"Hoffman called a meeting with Delta squad and Fenix sent me to get you since we couldn't reach you on the tac/com. Hurry up and get your gear on." Sam looked at Baird and gave him "the" face.
Baird started to act like a little kid "Oh, then I better move at a thousand miles an hour," He looked at her with a serious face. "Who gives a shit?"
He attempted to shut the door but Sam stops it with her foot. "Goddamnit Baird," Baird is even more annoyed now. "Why are you always such an arsehole?! I will not be in deep shit because you refuse to go." Sam looked at him with a mad face.
There was a rustle in the bushes behind them and Baird grabbed his Boltok and cocked it. "Who's there!"
A dark shadowy, circular figure jumped out and floated toward the main building….fast. "What the fuck?" Sam didn't think before she ran after the figure. Baird grabbed put on his armor and holstered his boltok as he locked up the garage and walked toward the conference room. 'Now I remember why I drew that blueprint.'

Baird walked in and saw that all of delta squad was staring at him. "Hmm, didn't realize I was pretty enough to get the boys to stare at me too." He sat down in the chair and looked to Hoffman who had an impatient face.
"Now that we are ALL here," he looked at Baird who had his normal 'don't give a shit' face on "I wanted to talk to you about someone new. Her name is Tessa. Others call her "The Sapphire" do to her unnatural blue eyes."
At that moment Baird tensed up and just sat there, speechless. "Im telling you this because she is one of the smartest, scratch that, she IS the smartest stranded that we have come across. That means that it is your TOP priority to keep her safe."
'Ah, fuck me.' Baird leaned back in his chair as Hoffman continued. "She said that she could build whatever, as long as we supply the materials needed."
"Wait, so does that mean we have a new Baird?" Cole started to laugh. "Cause if my boy gets shown up by a girl, I don't know if I can contain my laughter." Jace and Carmine looked at each other for a second and started cracking up.
"If he gets shown up by a girl, it's gonna spread over the island faster than Adam Fenixs' machine" Carmine was holding his stomach while Jace had his hand on Carmine shoulder. Both bent down laughing.
"ENOUGH!" Hoffman yelled out and the room went silent. "If everyone has had their fun for now, you're dismissed." Everyone had collected their copies of the papers that Hoffman had set on the table and left.
When Baird got outside, he just kept walking and walking until he got to the shore. He stopped once he was on the sand. "My god. She actually survived." He kept a slow pace until he got right up to the water and fell to his knees as if he got shot.
He stayed that way until Cole had radioed him on their private Tac/Com line. He had forgotten to take it out so it startled him.
"Baird, you there? We need to help with some boxes." Baird pressed two fingers to his ear. "Yeah, I'll be right there." As he got up he started to wipe off the sand on his leg armor.
DONE YALL! So, how is it? Let me know if you like it. All comments are appreciated. Even if just to say hi. :D Thnx for reading!
