Data leaned against the wall as a sigh escaped his would-be lips. He knew he was lucky to be "alive". At any other frequency, his phaser would have blown up the ship. Luckily, his guess on the right frequency was correct. He had neutralized the thalaron generator. But, now he had to get back to the Enterprise before she left without him.

As he headed for the large doorway out of the generator, he heard a soft chuckle behind him. He turned reflexively, only to see a much-hated face doing its best to laugh at him.

Shinzon was alive.

"Hahahahaha..." Shinzon wheezed. "You really think a small jab to the stomach could kill me? Idiotic android."

"Shinzon, it is plain to see that you are nearly dead. Why do you call after me? You will not receive assistance of any sort."

Shinzon only laughed, as best he could, for there was a gaping hole in his abdomen. "You aren't the only one with a portable transporter." He paused to take something small out of his pocket. "This has coordinates set to the finest medical facility on Remus, where not only can humans be cloned, but blood cells as well. Lucky that I kept that sample of Jean-Luc's blood."

"But...how?" was all Data could think to say. How was this possible?

"Computer, activate the auto-destruct sequence, authorization Shinzon Zeta-774. 5 seconds, silent countdown." Shinzon placed the small device on his right shoulder and waved mockingly as his atoms were beamed away, leaving behind a faint glow.

Data froze as he felt his emotion chip strain his circuits. "That sneaky son of a..."

The bridge exploded. As did the rest of the ship.

As did Data.
