I look at the gifts surrounding the Chrismas tree in the Gryffindor common room. There aren't a lot of people at Hogwarts. However Ron stayed at Hogwarts with Hermoine and myself. So I didn't feel that alone, since I had my friends at my side. We picked out our presents form onder the tree. My eyes fall on two unexpected presents. I first open the other presents and am very glad for them. 'Who are these from?' Hermione then asks me curiously.
'No clue.'
I open one of the presents, which looks like a book. The color of my name in ink reminds me of Luna. I smile and curiously continue to open the present. What a nice surprise. It does is a book, covered in brown leather. Written in black is 'Harry Potter at Hogwarts' on the cover. I turn the first page and see a picture of myself on my first day at Hogwarts. It turns out to be a photobook from all my time at Hogwarts. I smile. This is so thoughtful of her. I show it to Hermione and Ron, while I open my last Christmas presents.
A standard card with only names added to it from the Dursley. I tell this to my friends and tell them what I think of it. They shake their heads. 'Harry,' Ron says. 'Perhaps they do mean it.'
'They locked me up for eleven years!'
'Well, perhaps they regret that.'
'Hermione. No. Don't take Ron's side.'
'But, it seems pretty plausible-'
I sigh, frustrated. Why don't they get it? The Dursleys hate me, and the card isn't personal in the slightest way. After a little fuss I decide that enough is enough. I leave the common room, towards the Halls. Not much later do I bump into someone and hear a familiar voice apologize.
'It is alright Luna, I wasn't looking where I was going,' I say.
She looks up and smiles at me. 'Harry! Aren't you with Hermione or Ron?'
I shake my head. 'They took the Dursleys side, after they sended me a stupid card,'
Luna looks at me. 'You're okay?' she asks me. 'You look shaken up...'
I sigh. 'I just don't get why they won't believe me, but that is no...'
'I am here to help.' Luna says softly. 'Perhaps you all should calm down and speak to each other again later today,'
'Not a bad idea.'
She smiles. 'We could hang out together? As distraction,'
'I like that,' I say.
Then I remember the present. 'Thanks for the present, very thoughtful,' I add.
Luna smiles and pecks me on my cheek. I feel myself relax a bit.
