Clary reached forward, grabbed Sebastian's stele and ran out the bedroom, and down the stairs.
WHERE MY PART BEGINS:
As soon as she reached the kitchen, she ran to the wall and pressed the stele up against it. She could see the rune in her head, and could feel her hand copying it out onto the wall. She had just finished when she felt a hand on her wrist, surprising her so much that she dropped the stele. Sebastian moved his hand up her arm, and tightened his grip when it reached her upper arm. He grabbed her other arm the same way, and pulled them behind her back.
"An opening rune?" Sebastian asked. "And - oh, how sweet - you didn't even get to finish it."
"Let go of me, you BITCH!" Clary struggled against his hands, but his grip was like steel. She felt Sebastian Shake his head.
"I don't think I will, seeing how you've been spying on us and trying to get Jace back."
Clary drew in a sharp breath. She knew this was coming, but she hadn't expected him to find out this way. It still came as a rude shock to her. She slumped against her older brother, almost believing the fight was worthless. She could never win against Sebastian. Sebastian, believing this to be her unwillingness to fight, loosened his hold completely on Clary's left arm, but kept a firm grip on her right arm.
"You couldn't honestly believe that I wouldn't have found out soon enough, sis?" Sebastian asked, though clary could detect sarcasm in his voice.
Clary brought her hand back, and swung it forward, attempting to smack the living day lights out of him, but Sebastian grab her hand, and held it over her head. She felt her wrist sprain as he held it against the wall. The boy smiled as he saw the pain in Clary's eyes. He pulled her off the wall, and flung her into the table, spraying glass everywhere.
Clary picked up one of the pieces of glass, about as big as her thumbnail - it was the first one she had found - and closed her fingers around it, causing her hand to bleed where the edges cut into her skin.
As Sebastian moved closer, Clary pulled her hand back a bit, and, when her brother had reached her, brought it forward towards her neck. Sebastian laughed when Clary mentally decided that she couldn't do it, that if she killed Sebastian then she would kill Jace to, and couldn't find it in herself to slit his throat.
Time seemed to slow down. Sebastian grabbed the front of Clary's short, and whirled her around so that her back was against his stomach. He pulled a dagger from his weapons belt and held it against Clary's neck, just touching it.
"Tonight, you will do anything I tell you to, whether you like it or not," Sebastian said. "You will also address me as Jonathan, or your brother. Do you understand me?" Clary nodded, only because she knew exactly what he was saying, not because she liked it.
Sebastian removed the dagger from her throat, but held her arm tightly and pulled Clary towards her bedroom, where the red cocktail dress and heels sat untouched on the bed. He picked them up and threw them at her.
"I want you downstairs, dressed, cleaned up and ready to go in ten minutes. If you're not ready by them, I'm going to do it for you, and, believe me, you're not going to like that." Sebastian said before he turned away and shut the door behind him as he walked out of the bedroom. It was going to be a long night.
