my feelings for you, Abe-kun. ~Mihashi
Abe is your name.
You have black hair,
Gray eyes, and a stern mouth.
You trust me.
Your demeanor is kind and serious.
Every striking word from you
Convinces me, worthless me...
I am of worth.
Baseball gives me purpose.
Because Abe gives me signs,
I can pitch. With you as my catcher,
I can exist on that mound.
You never speak gently.
You are always loud and yelling.
Yet that only drives them deeper,
These words of worth I have never known.
"You are a good pitcher."
At first, I called you a liar.
"You are our ace."
You were mistaken for sure.
"Mishashi, you work so hard."
As if that made a difference.
"I trust you."
...What?
You trusted me. Me.
Horrible, unreliable Mihashi Ren.
The Misashi my old team never cared to understand.
You saved me.
Despite my fear and worries,
I press my hand against yours.
The burning sun above our world,
My hand begins to warm.
Under the endless blue sky,
Throwing long after the team has left,
I ask on our baseball diamond nervously,
"C-can we play for awhile?"

I'm sorry the upload is taking so long for DSC. I've been extremely busy with the class I'm taking this summer and work, not to mention the convention preparations. Anyway, enjoy this short poem I wrote up a few months ago and I'll try to get chapter 3 and 4 up soon. :3 ~BC
