She heard the crash before she saw it. She heard the screeching of car tyres, the skidding of the car, the cry, and the shrieks of the onlookers. She had no idea that her world was about to be ruined, her whole world taken from her in just one moment.

The cars in front of her were stopping and people were getting out to see if they could catch a glimpse of what had just occurred in front of them, so she followed suit and stepped out of her car, not before glancing back at her baby girl asleep in her car seat unaware of the commotion unfolding. She smiled at Lily, gently shut the door and followed the onlookers to the scene where her heart dropped at the sight of the car turned upside down on its roof. The red car, the red Audi she knew was his. She knew.

Her bronzed skin paled.

Tears gracefully fell from her eyes.

She screamed.

It was almost as if time was standing still but she had to get to him. Her lover. Her best friend. Her Finn.

She started to run until she was held back by officers who had just arrived. She threw her arms about, let out a heartbreaking cry and pleaded with them to let her through.

"Please! Please! Not Finn, not my baby!"

Throwing a heartbreaking glance to the officer holding her she broke down. Her legs gave way and she fell to the floor wishing for a miracle. She needs him. Lily needs him.

The sound of the sirens approaching them caused her to look up towards the officer. The tears that were clearly present in his eyes told her. Told her that there was not a chance in hell he would have survived this.

He was gone, her husband was gone, and their beautiful baby girl's Daddy was gone. She knew it and she had no idea how she was going to live without him.
