Finn had dragged Rachel to the local swimming pool since he recently found out she didn't know how to swim. Rachel sat in the reclining chair, with her bright pink bikini on, her face in a frown and her arms crossed over her chest.
"Finn, I honestly don't need to learn how to swim. The requirements to be a Broadway actress do not include swimming."
"Come on babe, just for fun?" he asked with a pouty face
"No Finn, I don't want to!"
"What's the real reason why you don't want to? Because I know for a fact that there is something you're hiding from me. I know that face."
"Fine, you know what? I'm afraid, okay? I'm afraid I'm going to drown and die and I just hate water in general."
"Babe, you're going to have to get over this fear eventually. Come on, take my hand." He reaches out his hand to her
She tentatively takes his hand, and he guides her to the steps of the pool. Both Finn and Rachel walk into the pool, and stop right between the shallow and deep end meet.
"Alright baby, what I need for you to do is float on your stomach and I'll hold you up for now. Okay?"
"No Finn, I can't. I'm too scared!"
"Come on, I've got you. Don't worry."
Rachel hesitantly floats onto her stomach, while Finn puts one hand beneath her, supporting her.
"Kay babe, after like a minute, I'm going to let go. And don't protest, because I'm still going to do it. If you have trouble, I'm going to help you. Promise babe.
"Okay." she answers softly
After a minute or so, Finn lets go of her, and Rachel starts to scream
"FINN! NO, GRAB ME AGAIN. HELP ME, I'M GONNA DIE!" she screams loudly
"Baby, stop that! Everyone's staring! Just use your arms to push you forward, and you'll be fine!"
Rachel starts to push forward with her arms, and after a few minutes, she starts to swim forward. She tackles Finn in the water.
"Thank you baby! I did it, I swam!"
"Yes you did babe, I'm so proud of you!" he exclaimed
Rachel plants a big kiss on Finn's lips and they both get out of the pool to drive to the nearest ice cream shop to celebrate Rachel's accomplishment.
