A/N: This poem is about the grief Sam feels after Frodo leaves on the last ship into the west, toward the Grey Havens. The characters that this poem is based around do not belong to me, but to J.R.R. Tolkien. Only the intent and the poem itself are mine! Enjoy! –NewFace
All
The only thing I ever wanted
Was to warrant one long gaze
Even a realization
That you want us together for good
Bound forever, in love and changed
Then you turned away from me
Your face toward the harbors west
It would be selfish, no matter my love
To deny you this last bequest
I will never forget your face
The tears that were in your eyes
You had a sleepless eldar grace
As we said our last goodbyes
Bittersweet was my love
Because you were the only one for me
My last chance is gone, to make you see
To help believe in what we could be
Those eyes of yours are beautiful
Or at least they were to me
Now I am alone
You unwittingly set me free
All I can do now is cry
I am haunted by those eyes.
A/N: So what did you all think? What doth the reader judge? Please, please, please give me your thoughts! As you can probably tell this poem is slightly a slash between Frodo and Sam. I meant it to be a beautiful thing, not something to be reviled by gay-bashers. So please refrain if this happens to be your M.O., please! All right, now come forth the reviews! Ta, -NewFace
