"She's already had her heart broken by the charismatic lead of the rival team," a voice from somewhere behind him spoke.
"Excuse me?" he asked attempting to turn and face this accusation.
A hand was clapped on each of his shoulders then he heard, "You only see me if I want you to see me, got it?"
Blaine nodded, worried that this situation was precarious at best. "She's broken. . ." the voice started.
"She? Rachel?" he attempted to follow what this was regarding.
"Yeah, you got Hummel already. I'm telling you if you break her more, I'll end you. Let's just say it'll be my pleasure."
"I'm not trying to hurt her. I'm just confused. I was just experimenting. . ." he tried to explain.
The hands on his shoulders tightened painfully, "Find new people to experiment with," the sentence was spat out. "They're strong, you know?" the unknown person spoke with a certain fondness. "But they've been jerked around too much recently so I'm just gonna end it here. Break his heart, break her heart. . .I break you."
"Can we be friends?" he asked.
The silence was overpowering and he was quick to add, "Kurt and I, Rachel and I."
"Friends with Ber. . .her? Sure. You can be whatever you can be for Kurt as long as you're not using him."
"They're luckily to have you, Rachel especially."
"Whatever," the voice brushed aside the praise obviously uncomfortable. "Just don't forget. She really doesn't have it in her to withstand another heartbreak."
"Then why don't you. . ." he started to ask.
"I'm not that guy. You better go get your coffee now," the New Directions boy commanded sounding a little sad.
He stayed facing forward for a minute, certain that was meant to be part of his instructions, but in the end he couldn't help turning, "You could be," he whispered to the mohawked boy disappearing around a corner (somehow he'd known it wasn't the brother warning him).
