Chapter 1- Hunter
Based loosely on both the book by Michael Crichton and the film. I know Grant was never actually dating Ellie, as it says in the book, but I decided it would be interesting to make them a couple. Enjoy! J
Alan Grant
Alan Grant watched as Robert Muldoon chattered on angrily about the velociraptors in Jurassic Park, hardly hearing a word he said. He was very animated- talking about them both fearfully and with interest., using his hands for emphasis, jutting his body forward.
Robert Muldoon was a hunter. Characteristically, and professionally. He had a beaked nose, narrowed stunning blue eyes and a sharp jaw, dressed in a khaki shirt and shorts, with dusty brown boots, and a tattered fedora hat. He resembled a raptor slightly- the same intelligent killer instincts. And he shared the same passion, hated and interest for dinosaurs as Grant did. And he was rather attractive…

Grant had started his life as a palaeontologist with Ellie, his favourite student. Pretty and blonde, she was smart too, and desperate to kick start her career as a botanist. So they dated, and spent nearly six years together. Unfortunately, by then, Ellie wanted a family too- marriage and lots of kids. Grant didn't want any of this- he hated kids- and was married only to his career and research.
Then Hammond arrived, and their relationship had been put on hold, thankfully, and Grant had been introduced to Malcolm and Muldoon. And here he was, admiring both men, hiding his interest in them behind a façade of knowledge, unwilling to suddenly attach himself to them.
And through this, he would never know Malcolm or Muldoon's thoughts on himself, and how they felt exactly the same…
