Tris woke up, with circles of moisture on her cheeks. She thought that she was dead. Maybe she had managed to survive and was brought back to the Dauntless compound. She closed her eyes and allowed the tears to trickle down her face, as her body racked with sobs. When she had wiped her eyes, froze; she wasn't in the Dauntless compound anymore. She was sleeping in a foreign bed in a foreign place. With her gun in hand, she slowly got out of bed. It wasn't like she would want to shoot the people who tucked her into a bed, but she would if it was necessary. She almost screamed for Tobias, but stopped herself. Doing so would tell her kidnappers that she was awake.

The kidnappers, she thought, did NOT know who they were messing with.

Warily, she walked out of the room, but stopped to stare in wonder at a boy and a girl who were sparring. It looked like they were trying to kill each other, but the grin on the boy's face assured her that neither of them had such intentions.

Suddenly the sword clattered out of the boy's hand, while the girl grinned smugly.

"I guess that is the third time I won, Seaweed Brain." She said, "Hope you remember-"

"Yes, I remember the bet, Annabeth. I have to take the newbie to Chiron now." the boy grumbled.

Tris took her chance and tiptoed towards the blonde girl, Annabeth. She pressed the barrel of her gun at the nape of her neck.

"Tell me where I am NOW, or I am going to blast your-."

Annabeth didn't even let Tris finish her sentence. She threw her over her shoulder. Tris grunted as she landed painfully on her shoulder.

"It's the newbie", the boy laughed, "Bet she's an Ares kid."

The boy lent his hand to Tris. She was about to slap it away before she realized that her opponents were stronger that her. Grudgingly, she took the hand and got to her feet. The girl, Annabeth, was looking at her with undisguised dislike.

Annabeth glared at her, "Percy, if you would like to do the honors."

"Come here, Newbie. You've got to see somebody." Percy said, stealing uneasy glances at the gun, "And I'll have that, if you don't mind."

Reluctantly, Tris gave up her gun. Percy took it away, and wordlessly led her to Chiron.

She followed out of curiosity.

"WHAT THE F-"she almost screamed when she saw Chiron. He was a middle-aged man- from waist up. He was a donkey from waist down. His frowned as if he had been offended in the worst way possible.

"Child, I understand you've been through a lot of shock, but I would suggest not using expletives in the Big House."

'It was a big house' she smiled to herself, before her knees buckled and unconsciousness took her into her arms. Funny what sorts of thoughts pass through your head in the toughest of situations.

Chiron frown deepened, "I don't know why the half-bloods do that when they see me for the first time. I never thought I looked that hideous."

Percy grunted as he bent down to pick Tris up, "You're not ugly at all, Chiron. It's just that seeing a mythical creature for the first time comes as a shock to everyone."

Chiron ruffled Percy's hair. He had grown to become fond of the boy, though only Zeus knew how many rules he had broken in the past few years.

"Take the child to the Infirmary, Percy. We'll talk to her after she gains consciousness."

Percy threw her over her shoulder, while she continued to mutter incoherently. It seemed like she was saying the number 'four' again and again. He couldn't blame her. It was a wonder that she had managed to stay sane for such a long time.

"Hey David, can I have some help here?" Percy called out to David, who was standing near the Hecate cabin.

David grabbed her legs while Percy struggled with her arms.

"You know what, Percy?" David grinned, "Faking her death was the most fun I've had in ages."

Percy rolled his eyes. Trust the Hecate cabin for dramatics.

"I'm gonna hear all about it from you. And weren't you supposed to get the boy too?"

"Caleb? We can convince Tris to go get him."

"Sounds good" Percy grunted as he dropped her body heavily on the infirmary bed.
