A/N: READ Top to bottom. Then read bottom to top. Sequel to Miles Away.

Draco took a step forward. This was his last act of love for her.

He had to do this for Luna.

He had promised himself.

A path of dirt lay in front of him. The path that would be his restoration road. He didn't know where it went, but he had to try, didn't he?

He had followed the path laid before him all of his life. He never followed his own path. Now he had a choice to make.

He could turn around and go back to the path set for him, or he could take a step into a new life. He could follow his own path.

He had to make a decision. No one was there to choose for him. His mom was no longer there to give him support. He had to choose on his own.

He still couldn't believe Luna had died. He had seriously messed up this time. He chose the path that was chosen for him, and it had cost him her. He had seriously messed up this time. There was no longer someone who cared about what he did because both his mother and Luna were dead. The two people who cared about his decisions now were buried deep inside the earth. Now he had a hard choice lying at his feet.

He looked up at the sky and said, "Luna, please I need you now more than ever. Help guide me."

Draco took a deep breath. He had followed the path chosen for him all his life and hated it, but now he finally had the choice and didn't know what to do. It was his chance to escape a cruel world, and yet he was standing on a road like a complete git not knowing what to do.

He thought this would be an easy decision. He thought turning his back on his childhood would be easy. It was everything he had ever wished for, but when it came down to the decision, he couldn't turn his back on it. He wanted to so bad, but it was actually harder to turn his back than he thought it would be.

He had to decide.

This was the choice between his break his promise or being true to his word.

He wanted the choice to be easier.

He wanted someone to make the decision for him.

He wanted out, but could he turn his back on everything he had grown up with and his family?

He wanted this to be easy, but no decision was ever easy, was it?

He held his head in his hands. Don't spoil my day, Draco. I'm miles away. The words repeated in his head. He had had enough.

He looked at the sky and said, "I'm sorry, Luna. I can't do this."

He was too weak.

The path that lay ahead was tempting, but he couldn't turn his back on his life.

No one could change who he was. He had to go back home. It was the path he knew. It was the path that he trusted. He had to go back to his family, even if he wasn't loved there. He loved Luna, but without her beside him, he couldn't face his restoration road.
