AN: Been so busy lately you wouldn't believe... Sorry this was so late. I thought I had published it already. Anyway, I was working on my new chapter story, which I don't plan on posting for awhile. Sorry! But there's a poll on my profile for you to pick what type of story I should do next, so check it out. Enough of my rambling. Read!

Disclaimer:Still not owning PJO.

Nico di Angelo took a deep breath. Where was he? Why was he here? He didn't know. So he opened his eyes, just a crack, but immediately shut them once again. Why? Because the sun. It blinded him, burning his eyes. So he shut them.

As he lie on what had had decided as sparse, dying grass and roughly compacted dirt, he wondered what was going on. As he tried to recall the events of the night previous, he decided that he would get absolutely nowhere by lying here. He would have to opportunity to find out what the heck was going on.

He slowly forced his eyelids up about a centimeter. Although he was stunned by the light, he let himself adjust. Sky. That was all he saw. A cloudless, cerulean sky. He saw the tips of gigantic trees floating among the sides of his eyesight range. He squinted through his thin eyelashes at the trees, hoping they would give him a clue. After a few minutes at glaring at trees, he decided to sit up to see if there was anything around him that would help.

Propping himself up, he was now supported by his elbows, tucked neatly behind him. Just more trees. He shifted his left hand so it was by his side, but something pointy stopped it. He looked down and his eyes widened. It was a Mythomagic Hades figurine! The one he had wanted since he was 7! How was this here? Had Bianca left it for him? Bianca!

Her name was like a bomb in his mind. Until provoked, it stood still. But when touched, or though in his situation, it exploded. Memories of the previous night rushed in, taking over his brain.

His breath was ragged and tears were flying behind him as he ran into the forest. His brain has scrambled, and he didn't know whether or not it was an illusion. His sister was still alive. He knew. Bianca, she could do anything. She was fine. Right? But he knew it was a lie. He had heard the buzzing in his ear, her hoarse voice, whispering "Forgive me, Nico. I'm sorry." He felt a new bout of tears threatening to fall out of his tear ducts. And you know what? He didn't care. Why? Because her sister was dead. All because of the little toy in his hand. Ugh! He shook his head in disgust. But he knew that he was the reason. The real reason. Right? No! The reason was that promise-breaker of Percy Jackson. He had promised to keep her safe, but did he? NO! He probably just stood there, watching her die. Not doing anything! He fumed. It was his fault!

Nico shook himself out of his memory and looked at the little toy in his hand. More than anything, he wanted to throw it into the forest, to get rid of the only evidence of her death. But he couldn't bring himself to do it, because it was also the only evidence that she loved him.

AN: This took me FOREVER to write. It was hard to write as Ncio, and I kept on gettting stuck. That may have something ot do with the fact that I am a girl...

Ya, I really don't like this story. To tell you the truth, the only one of my fics I'm truly proud of is 'They Don't Know Him." And judging from the semi-annoying emails telling me about reivews and favorites for it, you guys like it too. But don't get me wrong, I love semi-annoying emails! Especially the ones with videos of cute ninja cats! Getting off topic. Whatever...
