Tony hurt him…again. Maxxie didn't know why, but after every time he got hurt, he would still go back to him. Maybe because he still thought of Tony as his best mate. He knew that wasn't true though, he knew Anwar was his best mate. Anwar had always been there for Maxxie when he needed him, especially after all the times Tony hurt him. He would call Anwar crying, telling him what happened, Anwar always came to comfort him, and Maxxie would always be grateful. He sometimes felt bad for always calling him, but he was his true best mate and he was the only one Maxxie could really trust and confide in. But things were getting out of control.
Tony just left. He went too far this time. He tried to rape him. He knew Maxxie didn't want it, but he kept trying anyway. Maxxie was lying in bed crying. He was so sick of Tony. He couldn't take it anymore. Once again he picked up his phone and hit the speed dial for Anwar's phone.
"Hello?"
"Anwar…"
"Maxxie…what's wrong?"
"Tony…" He heard Anwar sigh on the end and understood right away.
"Okay. I'll be there soon."
"Thank you so much." Maxxie hung up with a sniffle and threw his phone down.
When Anwar walked in his room about 20 minutes later, Maxxie was trying to stop crying.
"I hate this…and I hate him…" Anwar sighed and laid next to Maxxie.
"What happened?"
"I didn't want it…but he kept trying…the only way I could get him to stop was by getting on top of him and telling him that I was going to scream if he didn't stop. My mum was home then too…"
"Why didn't you scream before that?"
"He was covering my mouth…"
"I'm sorry Maxxie," he wrapped his arms around Maxxie and rubbed his back.
"Thank you…you're a great friend Anwar."
"I'll always be here for you Maxxie," and soon they both fell asleep.
Maxxie woke up in the middle of the night and started thinking. He didn't know what he would do without Anwar. He thought he would probably die. He hated always calling him though. So he vowed to himself that he would take care of himself. He wouldn't call Anwar anymore. He would no longer be a baby. Then he went back to sleep.
The next day Maxxie woke up in Anwar's arms. He felt it comforting. He knew that he belonged there. He knew that they were never going to be together. He never even dreamed it, nor did even feel that way for Anwar. He just knew how much he meant to Anwar and vice versa. He knew that Anwar truly meant that he would always be there for Maxxie, and Maxxie would always be there for him.
