The Little Things
A/N: Okay, so I will focus on one relationship/friendship each chapter. I'm planning on doing most of them, but if you are really eager for a certain ship/friendship, then let me know and I will do it right away. I won't specify each chapter whether it's a relationship or friendship. I'll let you decide. And no I won't be doing any slash or anything like that. First up is Gibbs and Abby.
Disclaimer: I don't own NCIS.
Abby was busy in her lab, trying to analyze a piece of evidence. Personally, she felt that she had been given the easiest task of the group this time around, even easier than Tony. She had to analyze two guns and where the bullets came from. She had to analyze pieces of clothing as well. It was pretty boring work. But she knew that Ducky was going to be coming soon with the evidence that he would find off of the body so she was looking forward to that. She knew that it was going to be a long night.
Abby checked her Hello Kitty watch. It was already ten. Where was Gibbs with her Big Gulp?
As if on cue, Gibbs walked through the door. "What have you got Abbs?"
Abby smiled. "Gibbs! You brought me my Big Gulp!" She grabbed it from him and sipped from it, just staring at Gibbs.
He took it away from her, and set it down. "What have you got Abbs?" He repeated with a smile.
"Not fair!" Abby grinned, and went directly to her computer. "Well, the fingerprints from that gun definitely match the bag he was carrying." She looked at Gibbs. "But you already knew that, didn't you?"
Gibbs nodded. With anyone else he would have already lost his patience, but with Abby he rarely lost his patience, and when he did, Abby never got hurt over it.
"Okay…" Abby frowned, and typed something into her computer. "The shirt you sent me has fragments of glass in it, like from a car window or something. And on the glass there was some blood."
"Did you-"
"Find out whose blood it was?" Abby finished Gibbs sentence. "Gibbs, you should know me better than that! Of course I found out! It belonged to Petty Officer Daniels."
Gibbs nodded. "Good work Abbs." He kissed her cheek and handed her the Big Gulp. She grinned and shook her head as he left the room.
Abby had once been asked if she had feelings for Gibbs. She had answered with a loud, "Well duh!" Later she had realized that could have been taken the wrong way. She didn't have feelings for Gibbs in that sense. She couldn't really explain how she felt about him. He was closer to her than a soulmate, closer to her than family, and closer than a friend. But she couldn't explain it to someone and she certainly didn't have the time to be thinking about that right now. Gibbs was counting on her. So she got back to work on her computer.
A/N: Reviews would be appreciated!
