Listening to Imogen Heap and this came out not sure but -shrugs- ENJOY!
Everyone is back at Granny's diner celebrating the return of Emma and Snow, everyone but Ruby. She's staring at the blonde lost in her thoughts,
Okay, I have to tell her, I promised myself I would if they ever returned and here they are. But what if she rejects me, what if she laughs in my face then tells Snow, I'd lose two of my in the space of a minute. No, no I'm going to do this I'm going over there and telling her right here right now.
The waitress pushes herself off the counter, stands up straight and walks straight over the blonde who's been occupying her thoughts. Ruby stops in front of her ready to speak but loses her confidence,
You know what doing this in private a terrible idea isn't either.
She places a hand on Emma's arm to gain her attention,
"Hey Rubes" The blonde says with a smile when she notices Ruby.
"Can I talk to you outside for a minute?" The blondes smile drops at the seriousness of the brunettes voice, she stands up to follow her outside.
"Ruby are you okay? Is there something that happened while we were gone?" Emma asked generally worried, her arms folded across her chest.
"I'm fine, I'm just…there's something I've been meaning to tell you" Ruby starts of slowly
"Oh okay" the blondes worry fades, "Well whatever it is I'm here for you " She smiles
Ruby smiles back
" Well it's just that….before the curse broke I had these feelings for you that I never told you about because I thought you would just think of me as this silly little girl who couldn't do anything on her own, so I kept it to myself. Then the curse broke and I was going to tell you because I was me again but now your Snows daughter my best friends daughter I can't tell you now she'd hate me."
There's a long silence until Ruby breaks it continuing,
"Then you were sent through that hat and I felt my heart break into pieces at the thought I might not ever see you again and I made a promise to myself that if you ever returned I would tell you. So here I am here standing in front of you and telling you that I am so in love with you. I love you Emma Swan."
By the end of her speech Ruby has tears running down her face Emma smiled,
"You know when I first saw you all my thoughts were wow she is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, she's a goddess. At some point Granny had took notice to the way I was staring at you and told me that if I got with you and hurt you she would kill me with her crossbow, I didn't believe her until she actually pulled it out" They both let out a little laugh, "She told to think before I tried asking you out and I did I thought that I wouldn't be good enough for you and that I would just end up running off, but after being in that place you all call home I realized there is no where else I'd rather be than here with you and with Henry. My running days are over because I am so in love with you too Ruby"
"Really?"
"Yeah" The blonde eyes water. She grabs Ruby around the waist and pulls her in close, leans up and places a kiss to her lips, a small one but one that set fireworks off. When they pull apart they rest their foreheads together and smile.
"We should get back in their before Snow and James come out here to say they will always find you, trust me they say it to you once they'll say every time they see you. They do that with each other it's sickening after a while"
Emma laughs at Ruby's words "Alright come on" with one final kiss she pulls the brunette back into the diner.
