The sun shone in on Lizzie's room, slowly stretching across the floor. When it finally reached her bed she was just beginning to wake. As her eyes gently fluttered open a smile spread across her face- what a wonderful dream, he had asked her out on a date and it had been the most romantic date she had ever been one - even including her fantasy of walking along the beach while holding hands and discussing favorite movies and books. ..........

Oh if only it had been real ! But Gordo would never be so bold , and she didn't know what she would do if he ever was , she was afraid of the risk of losing their friendship. Lizzie couldn't imagine what she would do without her best friends, especially Gordo, and if going out with him or telling him how she felt would jeopardize it, then she couldn't handle it. That's why she hadn't done anything after she kissed him in Rome , the awkwardness put a strain on the relationship and she just couldn't imagine her life with out , Gordo as a friend was better than no Gordo at all she convinced herself.

With the thought of the kiss, Lizzie brought her hand to her lips and remembered the sweetness of it. Even though it was four years ago she could remember it like it was yesterday, sure she had had many kisses since then but none so special or dear to her and the one she had shared with Gordo. My goodness , she thought as it registered the amount of time , it has been four years, we've gone through highschool and are soon to graduate and I still haven't gotten over him!

"Honey, breakfast is ready, come down and eat or you are going to be late for school!" yelled her mother Jo interrupting her thoughts and snapping her back to reality- Stop dwellings on Gordo, she thought to herself , just get ready for school and go see your best friends Gordo and Miranda! "Coming" she yelled down to her mother. And with that Lizzie threw on her outfit and rand down the stairs to eat breakfast.
