It was late in the afternoon on Sunday when Mr Aizawa walked to the Class 1A dorm. He had the usual look of exhaustion on his face and was squinting to avoid having to see the setting sun in his face. Both him and another man arrived at the door and rang the bell, to be greeted by a floating pair of pajamas.
"Oh, Mr Aizawa. What're you doing here?"
"I have an announcement to make for the class, and since he arrived early, I thought you all could introduce yourselves." He gestured to the man behind him, who wore a green vest over his white shirt and green pants. He had a pair of rectangular glasses and a red bow tie to complete his look paired with his orange short hair and curled mustache.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Toru Hagakure." the sleeve of the pajamas extended, and the man awkwardly reached forward to find the invisible hand he was supposed to shake, eventually hitting his mark.
"Pleased to meet you, miss Hagakure. My name is Escanor." He spoke with a timid demeanor and at a soft level.
Mr Aizawa turned back to Hagakure. "Have everyone meet in the common room. I'd like for everyone to be here."
"Okay. Come on in." The invisible girl turned back inside and the duo walked into the impressive common area of the dorm. Several students were already sitting on the couches in the lounge area and a trio was occupied in the kitchen making some sort of pastry. They all turned to face the duo while several other students came from the stairway into the main area.
"Class 1-A, meet Escanor. He's a hero from England who's going to be a temporary instructor for a special lesson course the Hero Course students will be undergoing for the next week. He was supposed to arrive here tomorrow early in the morning, but his flight got in earlier." Aizawa glared at the man, who simply looked embarrassed.
"I apologize for that. It's complicated to figure out schedules these days. Also, I think the captain may have been trying to pull a prank on me." Escanor rubbed his head and looked at the floor, his face starting to get red. At this point, a young man with green hair walked towards him.
"Whoa, a hero from England? What's your quirk like? How long have you been a hero? Who's "the captain"?" he blurted out until he was held back by a hand to his face.
"Midoriya, calm down." Aizawa pushed the boy back a bit, and turned to address the group. "Let me clarify a few things. Escanor here is from a group of heroes in England called "the Seven Deadly Sins". Their quirks are a bit more dangerous than most people's and they are used by the royal family to handle villains in a covert style. The sins are what most people would call "Special Forces" or "Black Ops", and Escanor here is the strongest one on their team. He'll be teaching everyone in both class 1-A and 1-B how to take on an opponent stronger than yourself."
At this, the students looked at Escanor, who simply stood straight, giving him the image of a butler ready to perform some menial task.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING! HOW'S THAT SCRAWNY GUY SUPPOSED TO BE STRONG? HE LOOKS LIKE A TOOTHPICK!" A blond spiky haired boy barked over the crowd, causing Escanor to flinch at the loud voice.
"Please forgive me for being born." Escanor whimpered out before Aizawa stepped in front of him.
"Bakugo, that's enough. Escanor's quirk is one that's active for part of the day, and when it is active it keeps growing until a certain point. At that point, he needs to be isolated or else serious harm with happen to anyone around him." At this, Escanor walked slightly towards the blond boy.
"I understand your point of view, young man. I know I don't look like much now, but I promise tomorrow I'll give you a challenge!" He held his hands at his sides, taking on a heroic pose, only to lose it when Bakugo scoffed at him and stormed off. A few students approached Escanor to talk to him, but Aizawa chimed in.
"Alright, that's all for now. I need to introduce him to Class 1-B. Oh, just remembered. Uraraka." Aizawa turned towards a brown haired girl with a roundish face who seemed a bit scared at being called out.
"Ye-yes, sir?"
""I'll need your help tomorrow morning before the special course begins. Escanor brought something with him that's fairly difficult for anyone but him to move. Your quirk would be able to help us transport it easily."
"Oh! Sure, I'll do whatever you need, Mr Aizawa." she beamed at the prospect of being useful to an instructor. Both Aizawa and Escanor walked out and the students began chatting among themselves.
"What kind of powers do you think he has?" Midoriya asked to Todoroki, Iida, and Kirishima who were all gathered on the couch as Uraraka joined them.
"Given that his equipment needs to be transported by either himself or Uraraka's quirk, it's extremely likely he has a super strength quirk of some kind." Iida pointed out, as the rest of them pondered the possibilities.
"It might be more than that. His small body and the way his quirk was described. Is it possible he's like All-Might, able to take on some kind of expanded muscle form?" Todoroki bluntly stated.
"Could be, but I doubt it. Sure, he could have the body, but that guy didn't really seem all that intimidating." Kirishima leaned back on the couch a little bit.
"Maybe his body and personality are affected by his quirk? That might explained why he's some kind of special forces agent." Midoriya rambled off.
"If he is like All-Might, do you think they ever met each other?" Uraraka chimed in, at which Midoriya perked up and pulled out his phone, dialing one of his contacts. It rang twice, until a proud voice answered.
"Young Midoriya! How are you, my boy?!" All-Might proudly shouted into the phone, causing the group to look at Midoriya.
"... You have All-Might's number?!" the group on the couch asked in different tones.
"... You're with the rest of the class, aren't you?" the voice on the other end toned down and Midoriya looked embarrassed.
"Yeah. Sorry, All-Might. Listen, we were wondering if you've ever meet a hero called "Escanor"? He's supposed to be giving us a special course over the next week" At this, there was a gasping sound on the other end.
"Escanor's there? I haven't seen him in about four or five years. How is the old Lion Sin of Pride?" All-Might's tone had shifted back to his joyful heroic voice.
"He seemed rather... ordinary. Not much of a real "lion of pride", either."
"Well of course, you met him just now, right?"
"Yeah."
"That explains it. His quirk is one that only really works in the daytime. Why I remember when we last sparred. What a fight that was." At this, Midoriya and the others perked up. All-Might could have some tips on how to deal with this guy or some other inside information.
"Really, you guys fought? How'd you win?"
"... Well, truth be told, it was more of a draw." At this, the group looked more terrified than ever. "However, he did admit that I gave him a real run for his money after it was all said and done. Anyway, I'll let you all get some rest before tomorrow. Good luck with your new instructor!" At this, All-Might hung up and Midoriya looked at the group gathered on the couch.
"... We're all screwed, aren't we?" Kirishima blurted out.
"He fought All-Might and it was a draw? Who is this guy?" Uraraka looked positively terrified.
'Well, all we can do now is get a full night's rest and try to prepare as best we can!" Iida stood up and bowed to the group. "Good night, everyone. I hope you do well in the course tomorrow." He turned and proceeded to the stairs, leaving the others to ponder what kind of experience tomorrow would bring.
