Gilligan's Island
My secret love
Ever since the castaways had been marooned on their desert island, Mary Ann wanted someone to care for her and to love her. They had been there for about three years when one afternoon, she got a letter shoved under her hut's door. It said Mary Ann Summers.
Dear Mary Ann; I am a very shy man, and I have admired you ever since we came here.
I would like to know if I could escort you to the beach tomorrow afternoon?
Please take this under consideration, Love your secret admirer.
"Wow!" Mary Ann thought, she wondered who this was? The Professor? He always smiled at her and helped her with hard chores ,maybe Gilligan? She had a date with him one time and they ate soup and fish and she made him a coconut cream pie. Or could it possibly be The Skipper? But then she thought, "The Skipper is much too old for me, he's old enough to be my uncle."
She told Ginger that evening as they were in their beds. Ginger told her "Congratulations honey! I wondered when one of the men here were going to ask you on a date. I'll help you put on some makeup and fix your hair really nice if you want me to?" Mary Ann replied
"If you want to. I don't care."
Ginger answered back "Okay then"
The next morning after breakfast, Ginger washed Mary Ann's hair with the good smelling shampoo the Professor had made for them, used conditioner on it also, then rolled it. Later on, after her hair dried, she brushed it out and curled it. Then she put "Just a whisper" of blush, mascara, and a bit of lipstick on Mary Ann's pretty face.
Mary Ann put on her prettiest dress and at twelve-o-clock a knock sounded at the hut door. Mary Ann went to the door and opened it, Gilligan, all dressed in a collared shirt, black pants and black shoes stood there with some flowers.
"Hi Mary Ann! I'm the secret admirer, are you ready to go for a walk on the beach?"
Mary Ann replied. Yes Gilligan."
The two young people walked and talked, Gilligan told Mary Ann about his childhood, how his older brother protected him from a large dog that almost attacked him at the age of five. How his parents spoiled him because he was the youngest, and how he had his heart broken by a girl in college.
Mary Ann talked about her childhood, about how she was an only child and wished she had brothers and sisters to play with, how her first date with a boy ended up badly, he tried to get nasty with her, she slapped him and he took her straight home and she ended up in tears. How she missed her Kansas farm and her Dad and Mom.
Gilligan told her "I won't do anything to you. As a matter of fact I will just hold your hand and give you a kiss on the cheek if you want me too, but if you don't. then we'll just be friends without kisses.
Mary Ann replied "Gilligan, I believe you and I'll let you hold my hand and I'll even let you kiss me on the cheek."
This led to a dinner date with just the two of them in the girl's hut, then more dinner dates. Then one day, Mary Ann kissed Gilligan. They dated for a year and one day, Gilligan held Mary Ann's hand and asked her "Mary Ann Summers, Will you be my wife?"
Mary Ann, tears filling her eyes said "Yes Gilligan, I will marry you."
Three months later, Captain Jonas Grumby married Gilligan Williams and Mary Ann Summers. Ginger was Mary Ann's maid of honor and Mrs. Howell was her Matron of honor. Professor Roy Hinckley was Gilligan's best man and Mister Howell was his second best man.
The newly married couple had a brand new hut the others had built specially for them. The first night was frightening for them both, but after a few days, they felt better. One year and three days after their wedding day, Gilligan and Mary Ann became parents of a baby girl, they named the beautiful blue eyed baby Jennifer Rebecca.
