Lex Luthor has become unstuck in time.
Lex has gone to sleep the president of the United States of America and awakened on the day of his defeat in that infamous senate race against one Jonathan Kent. He has walked through a door in 2002 and come out another in 1989. He has gone back through that door to find himself in 2010. He has seen his birth and death many times, he says, and pays random visits to all the events in between.
He says.
Lex is spastic in time, has no control over where he is going next and the trips aren't necessarily fun. Lex was born in 1980, in Metropolis, the only child of a businessman there. He was a sweat red-headed child, who lost his hair in the tragic meteor shower in Smallville Kansas, who grew up to become the greatest criminal mind of all times. He graduated from Excelsior Prep high school at the very top of his class, and attended Metropolis University before being kicked out and getting sent to Smallville by his father. His mother died of cancer when he was in high school. So it goes.
Lex worked as the plant manager for Luthorcorp plant number three, and after one year tried to buy out the company to escape his fathers clutches. Lex has been married twice, both ended . . .badly.
After Lex's second wedding he and his new wife Helen Bryce took the Luthorcorp jet from Metropolis to their honeymoon. The plane crashed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after Lex awoke to discover the pilot and Helen missing and the plane itself, crippled. Lex survived the crash and spent the next three months on an island until he was eventually found, in near hysteria by a passing boat. So it goes.
After he returned to Smallville Lex and Helen went on a second honeymoon. While on the plane he questioned her about the "accident." She tried to shoot him and ended up falling from the plane at 60,000 feet sans parachute. So it goes. Sometime after this event, Lex suffered from a psychotic break.
He was sent to Belle Reve insane asylum, near Smallville, and was given shock treatments and released. He then continued working for his father, while at the same time searching for the information to bring him down. After Lionel was arrested for the murder of his parents, Lex took over as C.E.O. Lex would later attempt to run for senator against Jonathan Kent, which he lost.
Then in the year 2016 Lex Luthor was elected the president of the USA much to the delight and horror of the world. He would continue his path down the road of evil schemes and world domination, until finally he succeeded in conquering the world, while at the same instant destroying the planet. So it goes.
