I woke with a pair of headphones over my ears. Chill step was playing in my skull candy headphones and I looked up into the night sky.
Where… am I?
It was cold… so cold. I faintly remembered something, but it was too far off in my mind for me to remember. The harmony of the music was lolling me to sleep, and I couldn't help but let the sleep wash over me.
Grey! Flying to my feet, I pulled a gleaming sword from its sheath at my side. "GUYS!" Scanning my surroundings, I looked left and right, up and down, but the long stone pathway was empty. The night sky shown down on me with a pale moonlight, and my foggy breath was puffing in my vision. My dull white beanie and equally dull cloak brought back the memory. Something to do with Harmony…
"What…? Why can't I…"
A light tapping of feet came to my ears as the chill steps beat faded slowly, the piano the last thing playing. A girl with straight black hair was approaching me, and suddenly semi techno, piano, and heavy beats dropped into my ear. A blade was coming from her hand, and she had a disturbing sway to her walk.
"You. Will be… obliterated." She drew back her arm as she reached the top of the steps and me, and swung forward with the blade. With trained swordfighting skill, I parried the thrust, and jumped back, my midnight blue hair swaying slightly over my right, half watering eye.
I'm… crying? I hadn't noticed it before, but as the two of us danced, me too dazed to question the girl's reasons for attacking me, and her utter determination to kill me, tears rolled down only one of my cheeks. What's going ON?!
I sidestepped another one of her attacks, and slide down a rail, bastard sword in one hand. I was tired, and I didn't know if I could hold off the girl much longer. She wasn't fazed by any slice he hit her with, not getting he didn't want to fight. Hitting the ground running, I went sprinting out into the baseball fields, feet bounding the dirt to the beat playing.
"Damn it…" Skidding to a halt, I almost stumbled. Looking up at the moon, I felt my eyes glow with the moonlight. The girl was upon me. Blocking her first to attacks, I closed my eyes, allowing harmony to wash over me. "I… I… think…"
The stab was almost painless, and as I fell back, I could hear Grey being screamed over and over again, invisible tears hitting my cheeks. I slumped into the dirt, eyes looking into the sky.
I remember…
I died.
