Mundus was a demon king, but unlike other demons, he was very compassionate and kind. Mundus's goal was to prevent humanity from destroying itself: He prevented violence, war ,death, he also brought prosperity and structure for humans, too.

And Mundus was very successful, not just with his goal to protect humanity, but he was also very successful with his personal life. Everybody know him, eveybody respect him, everybody love him, he has found a true love of his life. And what's more, his lover is pregnant. He's gonna become a father!

So far, so good. So, Mundus and his lover and his child gonna have a happily ever after? Wrong!

Out of nowhere, two young men appeared, who called themselves "Nephilim", the only thing that can slay a demon king, and they exists now by the way.

The two young men then proceed to brutally kill both his lover and his unborn child. Mundus fell into despair and wanted revenge against the two. But there was nothing he coud do, because if he leaves his office, then there won't be anyone left to watch over the city.

So, he waited for the two "Nephilims" to come to him.

Then, the "Nephilim" named Dante arrived at his office. Mundus wanted nothing more than to rip this Dante to pieces. But he calmed himself down and kindly talk to Dante in hope that he can persuade Dante to quit this madness before it's too late. But Dante, showing no remorse for his actions, proceed to tell Mundus how satysfying it was to kill Mundus's child like a psychopath.

Mundus's anger got pushed to the limit. He forgets about everything else, his only objective now is to kill the one standing in front of him, Dante.

Against the might of Mundus, Dante didn't stand a chance. Mundus was just seconds before finishing off Dante. Then Mundus felt something. He felt that something just went very very wrong. Then he realized that the Hell gate in his office, the gate that separate Limbo from the human's world, has just been broken.

Why… Why did the Hell gate broke? Mundus asked himself. Then he finally remembered, that there was another man who was there with Dante when his lover was killed.

But Mundus remember it too late. As that other man, Vergil, the twin brother of Dante, just stabbed Mundus in the back. Vergil then pulled his sword out Mundus and Dante threw Mundus's body off the building.

As Mundus lay dying, the memories of his lover and the thoughts of his unborn child flow into him. Mundus used every last bit of strength left in him to fight the two "Nephilims" one last time.

But alas, he failed. Mundus was defeated by Dante and Vergil. The villains, Dante and Vergil, have won the day.

But before he died, Mundus shed a tear for his miserable fate…

Mundus was a demon, but even a demon may cry…

His lover was killed. His child was killed. The Hell gate was broken. Limbo has merged with the human's world. Chaos was let loose. Humanity is on its way to destruction. Everything that Mundus has try so hard to prevent all of his life has turned into nothing. Mundus died without accomplishing anything…
