silly games.

She didn't like him.

She knew this for sure as she watched Marluxia from her bedroom window. He was tending to his countless plants, half of them she's never seen before in her life.

'What life?' he asked with laughter in his voice. 'You're a nobody. Have you forgotten?'

She shuddered.

She didn't.

She didn't like him. She stared at him, then looked at the flowers, then stared at him, then looked at some of her drawings, then she finally decided to stare at him some more.

She didn't like him.

She kept glancing his way. ...But she didn't....not like him either. She sighed. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. She didn't know what he was. He certainly wasn't her friend. But an enemy...it didn't seem like the right word. He wasn't even in-between. He had his own category somewhere out there with his own scale, and his own damn billboard announcing to everyone who bothered to read it 'Marluxia's territory. Back away or I'll eat you.' And you would. Because he would.

She was still staring at him, but she wasn't paying attention. Too caught up in her own thoughts.

He was bittersweet. No, he wasn't even that. Wasn't bitter, sure as hell wasn't sweet. He was...bland. What a wonderful guy. She sighed and looked out at the garden once again. Only he was gone. 'Where'd he-'

"Namine."

She jumped. Marluxia was behind her.

"What are you doing?"

She stared. He stared. It was as if they were having a contest. And she was determined to keep it that way. Anything other than that would ensure awkward moments later.

He blinked.

"I BEAT YOU."

She ran.

A little note: A little drabble. I was reading this pairing today, and I had inspiration strike. I've written a lot of these, but they're lost in little conversations and some random private messages. I'll be collecting them here from now on.

It's been real.

Alice.
