It was bright and sunny in Star City right after a brief thunderstorm. The pavement was still wet and numerous rainbows could be seen all over the city.
"Okay, Grayson, you understand the plan." Arthur turned to the petit raven. She smirked and nodded her head.
"Arth, you gotta relax, get traught. It's gonna go down perfectly. Here's where you gotta be in about an hour." She gestured to a specific location on a map she took out of her pocket.
"Really!" The tall blond looked at where she was pointing. "That's perfect Rachel, it's right in the middle of the park!" Rachel Grayson shrugged her shoulders at his thanks.
"You know I'd help you with anything, Arthur." She brushed off his gratitude briefly before she gained a mischievous grin, "But, there is something you could help me with." Arthur's grin quickly fell.
"What?" He gloomily asked.
"There's a new archer I'm thinking of recruiting to the team, I want you to train him. His name is Charlie King-Jones. He's even thinking of taking up your old name, Apollo." She smiled, happy about the opportunity to get a rookie off her hands.
"Rach…" He started hesitantly only to be met with puppy-dog eyes, "Ugh, fine!" The archer quickly caved in.
"Yes!"
"And aren't you getting a little old for the puppy-dog face?" He accused only to be met by no one and a soft cackle echoing in the distance. He paused for a second before screaming, "I hate when you do that!"
*50 minute later*
"So, thanks for coming on this walk with me Willow. Sorry for the short notice." A very nervous blond told his girlfriend. They were currently walking through the park arm-in-arm.
"No problem, babe. You know I love walking with you, even if walking is so slow." The ginger playfully complained causing both of them to chuckle. After a couple more minutes of silent bliss with the two walking together, they arrive at one of the park's benches.
"Willow, there's something important I have to ask you." Arthur's tone became serious. As Willow's smile turned into an expression of concern.
"Arth, are you okay?" She asked, worried about the sudden change in his attitude. Instead of an answer he slowly dropped to one knee as Willow covered her mouth in surprise.
"Willow West, you drive me absolutely insane sometimes and we've been through so much together that that's the only thing keeping me sane. I love you so much and will always love you, you crazy speedster. Would you do me the honor of being my wife." With that Arthur Crock took out a ring: half emerald, half ruby.
"Yes, yes, a million times yes!" Willow yelled as she fell on her knees to meet Arthur with a passionate kiss as he slipped the ring on her left ring finger. As they separated, they both looked to the sky, a beautiful rainbow had just appeared, stretching across the sky as if planned. Willow simply stared in awe as Arthur smirked and thought to himself:
Thanks Rachel.
