On a remote and lonely highway stood a pale hunter, invisible even to the crickets chirping around him.
He thought he'd understood helplessness when he'd been confined to that chair- but he was wrong. He couldn't speak, he couldn't even interact anything remotely significant, nothing more than a book or a beer.
He saw headlights appear over the ridge and come towards him as he stood on the yellow line, waiting. Without hesitation or remorse, the car blew right through him without missing a beat.
And on the other side stood a broken man, waiting for someone to see him...
