Empress
A Poem
By Blinded by the Moonlight
Summary: Sad song, Sad song. Where do you lie? Her fall from the heavens above to the dark depths below.
A/N: Update, I guess.
Disclaimers and the like:/
This piece is not intended for profit, and I do not own Maplestory.
Dedicated to noone in particular, but is instead a mix of my own agony and a song.
~Moon
For the soul that had left me in the middle of this mess, leaving nothing but tears.
Sad song, Sad song
Where do you lie?
Lucrid skies amongst the heavens,
Sweep us under your embrace
Cleanse our souls of the misery
Of the pain
Of the sorrow
Please
For we are nothing without
The happiness you bring,
Without the gift you bestow upon us all
We perish, without a trace.
Empress
Bestown upon the heavens as the mortal's protectors
Falls from the heavens,
With nothing to catch her into the darkness.
Reaching out her snow-white hand
Grasping nothing of anything
Slowly crumbling,
Slowly perishing
To the corruption inside us
Giving in to the temptations
Giving in to the darkness and its warm embrace
Promising care and comfort
In turn, hurting others.
Hell's saviour rises from the depths
Prepared to gain power
Over the sabotaged lands
Casting its magic
Over the world
Destroying
Hurting
Corrupting.
Sweet sounds from the violin
Weave us the tale
Of the fallen empress
Who failed to keep away
From the thing that fascinated her most
Envy
Passion
Lust
Curiousity corrupting
Her pure heart
With lies.
Sad song, sad song
Where do you lie?
Placing us in misery,
Your sickly sweet notes
Entrance us with its beauty
Beauty of something that
Should not have been touched.
Empress, Empress
Please find your way
Out of the Darkness
And cast your heavenly embrace
Over us all.
Cast it over the lands,
The sea
Us,
Our hopes.
Rid our land of the sickness and peril.
Sad song, Sad song
Where do you lie?
Twilight kisses land gently
On the cheeks of death
Telling it that She,
The Empress,
Leader of holy beings,
Has fallen at last.
Sad song, Sad song.
Tell us where you lie.
