It was a year on after the final battle and the Weasley house was incredibly quiet and still. Ron and Hermione were sitting on the sofa in the sitting room, whispering to each other trying not to be noticed. Ginny had barricaded herself into her bedroom refusing to speak with anyone including harry. Mrs and Mr Weasley had gone for an early morning walk and George was sitting out in the garden near Fred's grave.
Harry went upstairs to Ginny's room and knocked quietly.
"Ginny?"
"GO AWAY!" she screeched.
"Gin, listen to me I know exactly what you are going through, I've been living through it my whole life and come on, just come out and talk to me, you're not doing yourself any favours by cooping yourself in there by yourself. You'll drive yourself mad!" He replied.
He heard Ginny sigh and with a flick of her wand all the furniture was back in it place and she let the door creak open, she was sitting on her window ledge.
Harry walked in slowly and stood behind her.
"Ginny?"
She shook her hair impatiently.
"Ginny, look at me" Harry sighed.
She turned slowly. Her eyes all puffy and red.
"Gin, I know you're hurting, but over time it gets better and you learn to deal with it and take each day as it comes. Look at me, my parents died when I was 1 year old, I defeated the darkest wizard in history and have a beautiful girlfriend and an amazing 'adoptive family' " Harry explained, Ginny laughed at the term. She knew that harry felt hat way but the weasleys were his family and he had really grown on them. Although all the extra security and such was a pain sometimes, they all loved himm and would never give him up for anything.
"Thanks Har, I love you" Ginny whispered.
"I love you too"
