Hey guys! This is my first Max/Fang fanfic so all reviews are welcomed!

So this story takes place in the third Maximum Ride book but there are many differences- there's no ITEX and there are no bad guys. The flock has split up and Max seems to regret the decision…

Enjoy!

She was sitting there. All alone. Thinking. Just thinking. About what you may ask?

Him.

That's right, him.

He was all that was on her mind nowadays. What he was doing, what he was thinking, if he had changed, and most important question...

Was he thinking about her?

You see, they had split up a while back. It was a difficult choice but one that had to be made. Trust me, neither one wanted to split up, they were heartbroken on the inside but obviously didn't want to show it. Come on, you know how stubborn those two are.

But in reality they missed each other to no end.

They had no means of communication since she wouldn't message him via his blog, you know how big her pride is- shed rather eat more desert rat than admit that splitting up was a bad idea before he did. But he wasn't going to say it first, oh no. He was almost as bad as her.

Now that you have all the background info, let's get back to where we left off, with Maximum Ride sitting on a couch in the living room at her mother's house. Ella was at school while Angel and Nudge were playing with Total outside. was at the store.

Max just wished that she could see him once again, just talk to him again... But no, she had to forget him and move on. He was responsible for them splitting up just as much as she was. She should just stop moping around and get up and do something about it. But every time she told herself that, she would just remind herself that she had no idea where he was since he wasn't posting his location on his blog anymore. She had no idea why but hey you never knew with Fang. He's just like that.

'I should go out,' she thought, 'I've been inside moping long enough. I'll just go outside and see if-'

DIIIING

'Oh the door... I'll get that and then go and see how Angel, Nudge and Total are'

Max walked over to the door and opened it. When she saw who it was, she nearly shut the door in his face.

It was him.

Fang.

But thankfully she did not shut the door- just stood there with her mouth open wide as the top of an extra large soda you'd get at Taco Bell.

He, on the other hand, had a smirk on his face.

"Miss me that much?"

"..."

"I'll take that as a yes."

And with that he brought his head down towards hers. She didn't have any time to think- before she could process what was going on; his lips were on hers in a gentle kiss. After a few seconds, Max got what was happening and responded to his kiss.

Fang pulled away after a while.

"Wow", he said with a side smile. Yes, a real, genuine, smile.

"Yeah..." Max said back, looking down with the beginnings of a smile starting on her face. She was so surprised about seeing Fang, and him kissing her that she forgot all about the things she was thinking about before.

She looked up at his face to see he was still smiling down at her.

"Man, have I missed you...", Max said, pulling Fangs face down.

"Right back atcha, Max" Fang said right before their lips met again.
