A/N: Hello, dear readers! This is my first time writing a Phanphic story. I have seen and read all information possible on The Phantom of the Opera. This story is based off of a scene from Gaston Leroux's original novel, The Phantom of the Opera, only it is told from another's viewpoint. One more thing: I (sadly) do not own any of the characters from Phantom of the Opera. If I did own it, I would be rich and not even writing phanfiction, Sadly, all I do own is 23 dollars, 73 cents, and this journal, which I write all my stories in. On with the story!

The Choice

"You must choose! If you do not, I shall choose for you, and I shall choose the Grasshopper. The Grasshopper hops very high, very high indeed, Christine…You have two minutes."

Erik, otherwise known as the Opera Ghost, or the Phantom of the Opera, left the room, his opera cape swirling around him, shutting the door.

Christine Daae was now left to choose her fate. Should she pick the Grasshopper, to be buried and blown to pieces by gunpowder, or the scorpion, to be sent to his torture chamber, where she would die in agony, as opposed to a quick death.

She looked at the gleaming bronze figures ominously. She knew, deep in herself, that maybe there was another choice: Death for none, but for her to be his willing servant and wife.

The light reflected cruelly off of the figures. She began to weep, collapsing into sobs a few precious seconds later. She heard the lock of the door click as a key was inserted into the slot and turned. Erik walked into the room and looked at Christine. He face tuned into a twisted version of a smile, his deformity causing him to look horridly evil.

Upon looking into Christine's eyes, he saw the emotions swimming with in its surface. Sadness, anger, fear, and- 'Aha!' thought Erik. Defeat! He spoke curtly.

"You are to be my wife. Go to your bedroom and change." It was then, that he realized, that his precious angel was doomed to a life in the pits of Hell underneath The Paris Opera House, doomed, for a life of damnation! A life of damnation, indeed!

Well, dear readers, I hope you enjoyed that little tale I told. Please, don't forget to review.

(Every time you don't review, somewhere, a bunny dies! Think of the bunnies!)

Till next time, xxErikxxChristinexx.
