Soma and Agni arrived at the townhouse, unaware that Sebastian and Ciel were visiting until the demon butler opened the door. Stepping aside, he let them in.
"Mister Sebastian, it's so good to see you again!" Agni said.
"Is my little friend, Ciel, here?" Soma cried. "Agni, here!" he added, handing the bag of vegetables he was carrying to his manservant.
"Yes, and he's in the front parlor," Sebastian replied, his lips twitching briefly upwards in an amused smile. "Here, let me help you, Agni."
"Thank you."
While the two butlers headed towards the kitchen, Soma ran to greet his friend. "Ciel!" he said excitedly as he entered the front parlor only to stop dead in his tracks. "Ciel?"
"What?" Ciel replied irritably as he straightened up from setting the last present under the tree.
"Why is there a fancy looking tree in there?" Soma walked over to him.
"It's a Christmas tree and it's here because that's partially how you celebrate it," Ciel explained with a patience he did not feel. "Father Christmas is supposed to come and leave gifts for you under the tree, but I thought you were too old for that nonsense."
Glancing at the tree in awe, Soma asked, "What does that have to do with baby Jesus' birthday?" He looked over at Ciel.
"Nothing. It's an old German custom."
"German?"
"The German people celebrated it that way for centuries and then it spread across Europe."
"Oh… Sadly, it never came to India." Soma smiled. "The tree is very pretty."
"Yeah." Ceil hung a few remaining ornaments on the tree.
"Mother would like it. She likes pretty things."
"Here, make yourself useful and finish hanging these." Ciel handed him a box of glass ornaments.
"Okay!"
"Careful, you idiot! And not all together"
"Like this?"
"Yeah…"
