He didn't care that the man was renowned, or that he'd been flown in from Los Angeles. The last time an attorney had arrived from another state – that damned rodeo clown from Texas, egged on by Shambala Green – it had been a total disaster.

And this case was shaping up to be the same. The defense had hired an onslaught of investigators and experts, all in the name of proving that someone else had committed the crime.

Ben could barely disguise his annoyance.
