"So what does this mean?" Piper asked, watching Cole intently.
"It means," he said, "that I'm now half Demon and half Vampire. It means I have eternal life and can offer you forever." Cole sighed, his head hanging. "It means I'm even more of a monster than before, because now there's not a drop of human blood left in me. Your sisters will never accept me."
"They already made that clear," she said gently. Her brown eyes raised and searched his downcast face. "Cole, you risked everything to save us from Pandora's Box! You wouldn't let them win. You're not evil. You never will be! I love you, and nothing will ever change that!"
Their eyes met. He lovingly caressed her face and kissed her deeply.
Softly parting from his lips, Piper gathered her long hair to one side and whispered, "Bite me."
He looked doubtful. "When you're ready."
She gazed at him with undying love and trust shining in her eyes. "If it means I get to spend forever with you, my love, I'm ready."
He drew her into his arms. Slowly they made love, and when she reached the paradise only he could give her, he transformed her to be his bride forever.
