After The War

She had been a part of the war, a rather large part at that. It was her who had killed both Malloy's when they had attempted to kill him. It had been her who had followed the golden trio (ok so her best friends Luna Lovegood and Collin Creevy had come to) but they had both been healers in the war. It had been her who had the courage to tell Harry he was a git. And it had been her who had killed every last horse-cuts. She had done so much. No matter how hard I tried to protect her from it all he thought.

He saw her now her and Luna were trying to get Collin onto the dance floor. The ministry was holding a party for the heroes of the war. They were as follows Harry Potter Ginny Wesley Luna Lovegood Herminie Granger Collin Creeve and Ron Wesley. Oh how Harry envied Ron and Herminie not to mention Luna and Collin who had held each other and whispered encouraging thoughts in times of doubt. He wanted Ginny the ministry said anything he wished would be his. He wanted Ginny. He needed Ginny. He would fight 100 Dark lords just to hold her.

It had taken three long years to do. He was now 20 Ginny was 19 soon-to-be 20. People had begun to loose hope. Even Ron and Herminie had lost hope. But not Ginny she had smiled and told him he COULD do it the he was strong and brave and smart enough.

At the final battle everyone cried. But only two cried silently. Harry and Ginny. Everyone else had cried in joy. They couldn't see the joy. Children who should never had seen death had caused it. That day they made love.

When they dressed nether looked at the other. It had not been 'were back with each other sex' it had been empty and cold. She had been beautiful, as had he. A single tear fell down Harry's cheek as he drained the rest of the fire whiskey.

When he looked up she kissed him. Ginny kissed him. And he kissed back. It was not a cold un loving kiss it had been a 'were back together and I love you' kiss. And they were.
