Someday…

Ares glanced at his watch. Well, to be more accurate, he glared at it.

"Where the hell is she? She's almost an hour late!" As much as he would like to leave, he had to see her. The previous day, she had sent him an e-mail, requesting a meeting at LAX at 4:00. It was now 4:45. Ares glanced down at his clothes. They had changed so much, yet so little. He wore black boots and black jeans, accented by a silver belt. The look was completed by a black top with two small silver buttons that never actually got buttoned. He still maintained his shoulder length black hair, goatee and silver earring.

"Haven't changed much, have you Ares?" He looked up to see Callisto. She wore a black leather mini skirt, black tube top and black and silver boots.

"Same could be said for you," he replied dryly. Aside from the clothes, she looked just like she did 50 years ago, when their relationship ended. He hadn't heard a thing about her since. Callisto, for some reason, had become fixated on London. She'd wanted Ares to move there with her. He, however, was content in Los Angeles. The God of War still remembered their parting words.

"I don't want to go to London," he'd stated.

"If you don't, this could be the last conversation we ever have. We could be over… for good," Callisto reminded him.

"I don't care," Ares threw over his shoulder as he walked away. Callisto tapping her foot impatiently brought him back to the present.

"You didn't hear me did you? I said it's been fifty years. We can get over it now. I've got a pretty good life there. Come to London." Two sets of brown eyes locked.

"Callisto, it's been this way a thousand years- we torture each other! So why the hell did you call me here? You know I don't want to go to London. I told you, I don't care. What's so great about it anyway?" He demanded.

"Never mind," Callisto growled, sensing that it was a wasted trip. Nothing had changed.

"Guess this is good bye again?" There was the slightest twinge of regret in his voice, Callisto noted.

"For now," she said. They leaned in for a short kiss, then she turned and walked away again. Ares stared at the vacated spot, slowly raising a finger to his lips.

"Yeah… maybe someday."
