24 hours of love
"Can you crack that code for me, Michelle?" Jack's voice sounded husky and he didn't wait for a reply but just dumped a disk on Michelle's desk. While Jack left the CTU building, Michelle continued her work so she could crack the code as soon as possible.
In the meantime Kim was laying on her bed, watching a photo of her father surrounded by his colleges. She wasn't just watching the photo, Kim was staring at the head of CTU; Tony Almeida. She'd met him a couple of times and he was almost old enough to be her father and though she knew all of this; there was a sparkle in her eyes when she looked at the face of Tony. But then she heard a car, not just a car; it was the car of her father and quickly she hide the picture in her room, hoping that her father would never clean her room.
"I'm home..." Jack shouted.
Quickly Kim went downstairs and met her father with a hug. "So how was work?"
"Boring, as usual." Jack grinned while he took a glass of water. "Are you ready to go?" This time his face didn't show a grin and his eyes were filled with pain.
Kim nodded with a sad look and they left the house, leaving a silence of grief. They had planned to visit Teri's grave and it was the reason for Jack to leave CTU that early. Today it was three years ago, Teri died and every time during this same day; they visited Teri's grave. Not like they came just once a year; both of them visited more often but they didn't knew about each other, just to be strong. The visit was hard, but not harder then usually and they drove home in silence.
