That last case at Hazakura Temple, I had become a defense attorney for a day, all thanks to Wright falling into that river, but after that case, everyone but Maya and Wright had gone to eat. Even Franziska was there… and suddenly I couldn't even talk to my own 'sister' very well…

"Miles, are you okay?"

"I'm fine Franziska."

"You don't sound fine."

"I swear to you, I'm fine."

"I'm going to head off," Franziska said grabbing her whip, "I'll see you all tomorrow."

I got up, "I need to head to my house, Franziska is staying with me."

"Alright, Edgey, see you sometime later."

I caught up with Franziska and walked with her, "Franziska, why did you just up and leave?"

"I just don't feel well."

"Does your head hurt?"

"No, I just feel sick."

"Like what kind of sick?"

She rolled her eyes, "Sore throat, coughing and feeling like I want to vomit."

I picked Franziska up and carried her the rest of the way to my house, considering she looked pale, "Miles, why did you do that?!"

"You looked really pale."

"I was fine."

"Just get upstairs, Franziska."

She put the whip on the coffee table, "I will."

She walked upstairs and I sat on the couch, Please don't be sick, Franziska.

She came downstairs in a blue and white nightgown, "I'll be fine."

"If you still feel sick later, let me know."

"I think I'll be fine."

"Why don't you sleep in my room tonight?"

"What?"

"I'll sleep out here, you can use my room."

"Miles, I'll sleep in my room."

"No, Franziska, I insist you sleep in my room."

She glared at me, "Why are you so concerned of me?"

"Because you're my sister."

"More like adoptive sister."

"Alright, I'm going to grab some blankets from my room, and then you can sleep."

"Alright."

I fell asleep on the couch, and Franziska was asleep in my room.

The Next Morning

"Miles wake up."

I saw Franziska standing above me, still in her nightgown, "Work?"

"Work."

I went to my room, changed and waited downstairs for Franziska.

"Alright, let's go, fool."

Good old Franziska.

We walked to our offices, "I'll see you after work, Franziska."

"Okay, Miles."

I sat in my office, working and thinking… about Franziska… ugh why is she suddenly so hard to talk to?

I continued working, until the chief walked in, "Edgeworth, I need you and Franziska to go down to Wright's."

"Why?"

"Because, I just need you to!"

"Right..."

Lana handed me a paper, "Give this to him."

"Alright."

I got Franziska from her office and we walked to Wright's office, handed him the paper and left.

"Miles, are you okay? You didn't say a word to that fool."

"I'm fine…"

She stopped me dead in my tracks, "Look me in the eyes and say that."

I couldn't look her in the eyes, "I'm not fine. There is that what you wanted to hear?"

"No, I want to hear you were fine."

I looked her in the eyes and then I kissed her, softly on the lips.

When we pulled away, she whipped me, "You foolishly foolish fool! What was that for?!"

"Franziska, you don't get it do you?"

She turned away, "I get it, but I don't like you like that!"

"You're just saying what Manfred told us."

"No I'm not!"

I kissed her again, and she put her arms around my neck, 'Got her.'

We pulled away and she was blushing furiously, "Maybe I was following what he said… but then again, I'm an adult."

"And he's gone, Franziska."

She sighed and looked at me, "I guess that true…"

"And we're not blood related."

"Ugh."

I pulled her closer to me, and kissed her passionately.

I could tell she was happier than she was letting on.
