I thought of this story a few months back. It was after LJ went to the cemetery to see his mother.
I Can't Lose Him
LJ Burrows paced around the hospital. He didn't know what to do or think. LJ thought he was about to lose everything. First his father went to prison and didn't feel close to him. LJ then saw his mother lying dead in front of him and framed for murder. LJ and Veronica Donavon were at a hospital where Nick Savvrin was, he was nearly killed by an intruder.
" My world is falling apart," LJ thought, " My mother is dead and soon I could lose my father. I don't have anything left."
" You okay?" Veronica asked sitting next to him.
LJ just looked at her with tears in his eyes. Veronica just hugged him.
" You have to save him," LJ said, " I can't lose him too."
" Nick and I are doing everything we can," Veronica told him, " You're father still has a chance. I won't give up on him."
" I miss her," LJ said, " Why did they do this? I didn't do it."
Veronica looked at him and didn't know what else to say to cheer LJ up.
" I know," Veronica told him, " We will clear you too. I promise you. Just don't give up yet."
LJ believed in what Veronica said, even though he didn't think he liked his father at first, he did now and inside loved him and believed in him.
" I won't give up on my father," LJ told her, " I will help in any way I can, but I can't help being scared."
" I'm scared too," Veronica admitted, " But we will find the truth."
Veronica then got up to check on Nick. LJ then felt a little better. Talking about how he felt to Veronica helped ease the pain. LJ knew though that the only thing he wanted was see his father free.
