"You did what?" Giles asked, growing very flustered.
"Geez. It's not like it's such a big deal."
"Buffy, the morality of the decision aside, it is a very 'big deal.' You'd conceived the child of light, prophesied to either save the world or destroy it but either way vital to the end times prophecies, and you..." he trailed off.
"I know."
"You had a..."
"An abortion. This is the twenty first century, Giles. A woman has a right to choose, and I chose."
Giles began cleaning his glasses.
Elsewhere, the Powers That Be began to draw up frantic contingency plans.

Author's note: Because I imagine most of the women in BtVS would find the PTB's habit of choosing some woman to conceive 'miracle children' in the fulfillment of prophecy to be rather annoying.
